On 09/22/26 at approximately 3:16 PM, I, Dep. Barragan, was dispatched to [200 BLOCK] Boulder Run regarding a domestic dispute. Warrants were taken, and a report was written.

Before arriving at the incident location, I was able to locate the subject, Gary Thompson, at the nearby gas station. He stated that there was a disagreement between him and his wife, [VICTIM #1], about how money was handled. During the argument, he stated that she had fallen and was attempting to blame him for her injuries. When asked why he walked all this way, he stated that it was to get away from the incident location because he did not want to be there. Deputies also observed scratches on his arm, as if her gotten into some type of altercation. Gary was then detained, and all deputies arrived at the incident location afterward.

We met with the complainant, [VICTIM #1], and her grandson, [WITNESS #1], who heard the altercation and separated the two parties. She stated her wrist was hurting and that it felt as if it were potentially broken. At first glance, looking at [VICTIM #1]’s wrist, it seemed as if it was severely swollen. We then had Metro enter and examine her wrist, and they stated that it could potentially be fractured, given how bad the injury looked. I then spoke to [WITNESS #1], who stated that while he was in his room, he heard a loud thud and his grandmother yelling shortly after. He came out, and Gary attempted to tell him to go back to his room, but he refused, and [WITNESS #1] separated the two parties.

When speaking to [VICTIM #1], she stated that she and Gary were arguing over money issues, and he then pushed, causing her to land on her right side and injuring her wrist. She stated that shortly after, they called 911, and that’s when Gary stormed out of the home. [VICTIM #1] was taken by Metro, where she will be treated further and assessed for her wrist. She also complained that the right side of her head hurt, as well as the right side of her ribcage. It was confirmed that [VICTIM #1] would be transported to Paulding Wellstar Hospital for treatment.

After getting [WITNESS #1]’s information, Gary was placed under arrest and then transported to the county jail. Gary was placed into the jail’s custody without incident. Due to the injuries that [VICTIM #1] sustained from being pushed, warrants were taken out for Aggravated Battery Family Violence.

I then returned to service.
