On July 19 2026 at 1753 I, Corporal Terry responded to [300 BLOCK] Amsterdam Way in reference to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon. As Deputies were en route to the scene the complainant advised to Dispatch that a male on scene had stabbed another male roommate on scene and was currently sitting on the back porch.

I arrived on scene along with Deputy Mattick, Deputy Parks-Lewis, Deputy Whiteman, Deputy Lavender, and Deputy McDonald. I approached the back of the residence with Dep. Mattick, Dep. Whiteman, and Dep. McDonald. I observed a male with a white shirt and blood on his clothing and arms. This male matched the description of the suspect given to dispatch. I pointed my county issued Patrol Rifle at the subject and directed him to stand up and turn around. The male complied and was then directed to walk down the porch steps. The male walked down and was detained by Dep. McDonald and Dep. Whiteman.

The male was escorted off the property in front of my Patrol Vehicle. I assisted Dep. Mattick in clearing the residence before allowing Fire Rescue/Metro to enter to attempt life saving efforts on the victim. The victim was identified as [VICTIM #1] and the suspect was identified as Jacob Brady. Metro placed the victim in the ambulance then transported him to Paulding Wellstar for treatment.

Deputies stayed with Jacob while I helped set up crime scene tape around the residence. Once a crime scene was established I began to supervise the scene directed Deputies on scene. I notified CID supervision on the incident and gathered information for CID. Captain Horsley arrived on scene and was filled in on the incident. While on scene Supervision was advised on scene that [VICTIM #1] was declared deceased at the hospital. Detective Driskell and Sergeant Sicienski arrived and took over the scene for investigation. I remained on scene to assist CID and Crime scene until it was determined I was no longer on scene.

I then returned to service.
