On 06/24/2023, I Dep Maddox #1299 responded to [60 BLOCK] Barbee Path Unit 36, in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, I made contact with Cpl. Dyer #915 who was inside the unit providing medical assistance to a black female who was shot. The female was later identified as [VICTIM #1]. Deputy Walker #1328 had cleared the residence as I entered the unit.

I made contact with [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] outside of the unit. I spoke with [WITNESS #1] and asked him to tell me what happened. [WITNESS #1] stated all he knew was that his girlfriend was shot and he was worried about her. [WITNESS #1] had blood covering his right hand from the middle of his forearm down. [WITNESS #1] did say that he was in the bedroom to the left when the shooting started. [WITNESS #1] was on a red cellphone which appeared to be an iphone. [WITNESS #1] was using this phone to call individuals and text messages. I advised [WITNESS #1] not to be on his cellphone for the duration of his time on scene. [WITNESS #1] was placed with a deputy to ensure this from happening.

I spoke with [WITNESS #2]. [WITNESS #2] stated she was asleep on the bed in the living area when she heard a gun cock. [WITNESS #2] explained she rolled onto the couch and covered herself during the shooting.

I spoke briefly with [WITNESS #3]. [WITNESS #3] advsied she was asleep in her bed which is located on the left side of the trailer through the kitchen. [WITNESS #3] advised a female who she did not know started punching her and then she heard gunfire erupt. [WITNESS #3] explained there was only four people who were supposed to be in the home.

Devon “VON” Gandy B/M, [WITNESS #2] W/F, herself, and a Kaynan Diamond subject.

[WITNESS #3] stated that Kaynan and Devon left the residence.

I transported [WITNESS #2] to the Paulding County Sheriff’s office to speak with the investigators.

The investigation was turned over to CID.
