Officer’s Narrative:

On May 9, 2026, at approximately 1301 hours, I, Deputy Palmertree, was dispatched to Parkmont Ct and Cedar Park Dr, regarding an assault. Per the notes of the call, the other party had left the scene, and the complainant requested to meet at their residence.

I arrived on scene at [20 BLOCK] Teramont Ct and spoke to the complainant, [VICTIM #1], and her son, [VICTIM #2]. Ms. [VICTIM #1] said she was teaching her son how to drive a manual transmission vehicle when Mr. [VICTIM #2] caused the vehicle to stall. Another vehicle came up behind them, and Mr. [VICTIM #2] started to get out of the vehicle to tell the driver to go around. Ms. [VICTIM #1] said the driver produced a handgun that looked like a Glock, pointed it in the air, and appeared to chamber a round.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] showed me the way the driver chambered a round. Ms. [VICTIM #1] showed me that the driver had the handgun in her hand, and proceeded to show me that the driver grabbed the top of the slide and pulled it back. Ms. [VICTIM #1] said the driver then drove away towards Cedarcrest Blvd. Ms. [VICTIM #1] said she started crying and became upset, and said she “needed to get away”. Ms. [VICTIM #1] said she wanted to press charges if we found the driver.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] described the driver as a black, female, approximately 20 to 30 years old, who was wearing a red headband around her head and braided hair. Ms. [VICTIM #1] said the vehicle was a red Dodge SUV, possibly a Caravan with a car seat in the back.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] gave a Georgia license plate of [REDACTED]. I ran the tag, and it came back to a silver SUV. Running Georgia license plate [REDACTED], it came back to a red Dodge Journey, registered to Khayrissa Mcclinton. Due to Ms. Mcclinton matching the physical description given by Ms. [VICTIM #1], Deputy Tymkew pulled the DDS photo of Ms. Mcclinton and asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] if the DDS photo was the person she saw driving. Ms. [VICTIM #1] and Mr. [VICTIM #2] both positively identified Ms. Mcclinton as the person they saw driving and producing the firearm.

Ms. Mcclinton’s address was listed as [100 BLOCK] Cabana Ct. We went to the address listed to attempt to make contact with Ms. Mcclinton. When we arrived on scene, we did not see the vehicle described in the incident. Deputy Tymkew did locate an Amazon package on the front porch with the last name Mcclinton. I knocked on the door, and a male answered.

The male said Ms. Mcclinton was his sister, but she was not home, and he did not know where she was. We then checked FLOCK for Ms. Mcclinton’s vehicle. Ms. Mcclinton’s vehicle last showed on FLOCK Northbound on Cedar Crest Blvd going towards Cobb County. A BOLO was given to Cobb County regarding the incident.

A short time later, another deputy advised Ms. Mcclinton’s vehicle hit on FLOCK on Highway 92 and Hiram Sudie. Deputies and officers from the Hiram Police Department searched the area but did not locate Ms. Mcclinton’s vehicle.

Later in the day, Marietta Police called Paulding County 911 and advised they had stopped Ms. Mcclinton’s vehicle and requested us to contact them. We called Marietta Police Officer Cole, who advised they stopped Ms. Mcclinton’s vehicle and located a firearm and Marijuana. Officer Cole said they were willing to meet at the Racetrac off of Charles Hardy Parkway.

When Officer Cole arrived at the Racetrac, he advised us that Ms. Mcclinton was stopped by him due to the BOLO. Officer Cole said he read Ms. Mcclinton her Miranda Rights and asked what happened in Paulding County. Officer Cole said Ms. Mcclinton advised him that it was a road rage incident, and a male driver yelled profanities at her, and she drove away. Officer Cole said he asked Ms. Mcclinton if she pulled a firearm or if a firearm was involved at all. Officer Cole said Ms. Mcclinton said no. Officer Cole asked if he could search her vehicle, to which she said he could.

Officer Cole said he found approximately 2oz of Marijuana. Officer Cole also said he found a Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun behind the driver’s seat in front of a car seat. Officer Cole said there was no magazine in the handgun, and there was a round in the chamber. Officer Cole said he recovered two magazines from inside the vehicle with 12 rounds inside each magazine. Officer Cole then had Ms. Mcclinton step out of the vehicle. I had Ms. Mcclinton walk to the front of the patrol vehicle, where I placed my handcuffs on her, took Officer Cole’s handcuffs off, checked my handcuffs for proper fit, and double locked the handcuffs to ensure they would not tighten during transport to the jail.

I advised Ms. Mcclinton that she was being placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Officer Cole gave Deputy Tymkew the firearm he recovered from Ms. Mcclinton’s vehicle. Officer Cole advised that he was going to charge Ms. Mcclinton and requested to contact him when we obtained the warrant.

Ms. Mcclinton wanted to talk about the incident. I placed her in the back of my patrol vehicle and read Ms. Mcclinton her Miranda Rights from my department-issued Miranda Card.

Ms. Mcclinton said she was delivering an order for DoorDash. Ms. Mcclinton said a vehicle pulled behind her, and a road rage incident occurred. Ms. Mcclinton said the male driver, presumably Mr. [VICTIM #2], yelled: “f*ck you n*gger”. Ms. Mcclinton said she drove away, and no firearm was produced. Ms. Mcclinton said the round that was in the chamber was from before the incident. Ms. Mcclinton was then transported to the Paulding County Jail without further incident.

The firearm was booked into evidence and placed into Locker #2. The firearm was a Smith and Wesson SD9 9mm handgun with a serial number of ENS4871. The handgun is a two-tone handgun with a black frame and silver slide. The handgun does resemble a Glock handgun. The magazines were loaded with 12 rounds each.

A warrant was obtained for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. A copy was placed in the Warrants Division box, and one was given to Lt. Hill in the jail. Deputy Tymkew called Officer Cole and advised him that we had obtained the warrant. Officer Cole advised that he was going to obtain warrants for what he found inside the vehicle.
