On September 1, 2026, at 11:11 PM, I, Deputy Robinson, was dispatched to [1100 BLOCK] Dabbs Bridge Rd for a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, Deputy Amante made contact with the complainant, [VICTIM #1]. [REDACTED] directed me to the suspect, Nicholas Anderson, who was found sleeping in mulch on the property. I detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, and his eyes appeared glassy. When I woke Nicholas, he attempted to stand but fell back down. Due to his level of intoxication, I determined it was safest for him to remain seated on the driveway/mulch. Nicholas refused to provide a statement and only said that whatever others reported was accurate. He did not indicate whether any physical altercation had occurred. When Deputy Amante approached, Nicholas began to raise his voice. Deputy Amante explained that our primary concern was his safety, given his intoxicated state.
I spoke with [VICTIM #1], who stated he had picked up Nicholas earlier that day. [VICTIM #1] reported that Nicholas currently resides in Arizona and that they were longtime friends who had not seen each other in 15 years. [VICTIM #1] stated Nicholas had consumed alcoholic beverages, believed to be beer. He further reported that Nicholas had struck him in the face during an episode, but I observed no visible injuries on [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] expressed that he did not feel safe with Nicholas present due to his irate behavior and requested that Nicholas leave the residence. [VICTIM #1] also mentioned that Nicholas had been staying in Marietta, Georgia, and did not want him to remain at his home overnight.
I returned to Deputy Amante and Nicholas. When I asked Nicholas for his date of birth, he provided inconsistent information: the year [REDACTED], the day as [REDACTED], and the month as [REDACTED]. Paulding Dispatch was unable to verify his identity with this information. Nicholas began using profanity, and I instructed him several times to stop cursing and to sit down. I also asked if he had any friends in Cobb County who could assist with transportation, as [VICTIM #1] did not want him to remain on the property.
Despite multiple warnings to cease using profanity, Nicholas continued and repeatedly shouted, “No, fu*k you.” While I instructed him to remain seated, Nicholas stood up and attempted to grab me with both arms. Based on his actions and level of intoxication, I believed he might become violent. Deputy Amante and I then engaged with Nicholas, resulting in all of us falling onto the mulch. I placed Nicholas under arrest and double-locked the handcuffs.
While escorting Nicholas to my patrol vehicle, he continued to use profanity despite my repeated orders to stop. Nicholas then became noncompliant and “dead-legged,” refusing to walk. Deputy Amante and I assisted him to the front of my patrol vehicle. I conducted a search incident to arrest, during which Deputy Amante retrieved Nicholas’s wallet from his rear right pocket. Upon inspection, Nicholas’s driver’s license indicated his actual date of birth was [REDACTED], not the date he had previously provided.
After securing Nicholas in my patrol vehicle, I collected his remaining property from [VICTIM #1] and transported Nicholas to the Paulding County Jail. While waiting in the jail sally port for staff to assume custody, Nicholas stated he “could not wait.” When I asked him to clarify, he said he could not wait to be out of handcuffs to “beat my bit*h a*s” and further threatened to “fu*k me up” once released. Paulding County Jail staff accepted custody of Nicholas without further incident.
I returned to service, and warrants were later obtained.
