I arrived on scene and met with [VICTIM #1], who was standing on the front porch. I immediately observed blood on Ms. [VICTIM #1], and she was holding a paper towel to her lower lip. We walked inside the house, and I had Ms. [VICTIM #1] sat in a chair. I asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] if I could look at her lip. Ms. [VICTIM #1]’ lower lip had a major gash, splitting her lip. I also observed marks on the right side of her face, and her right eye was beginning to swell. Ms. [VICTIM #1] was covered in blood on her left shoulder from the injury to her lip. Ms. [VICTIM #1]’ shirt was also ripped, and she was missing a shoe. I notified dispatch to have an ambulance en route to check on Ms. [VICTIM #1]’ injuries.

I asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] to review the events that happened. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that Tecory Vaughn came over to the house and had been drinking. She mentioned something to him about drinking and immediately started yelling at her. Mr. Vaughn walked outside and then came back in. During the argument, they ended up outside. Mr. Vaughn was in her face, yelling so close, she could feel the spit hitting her in the face.

When she eventually pushed him back, telling him to get out of her face, Mr. Vaughn then came charging at her, pushing her to the ground, getting on top of Ms. [VICTIM #1], and began punching her in the face with a closed fist multiple times. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that all she could do was yell for help. Mr. Vaughn then got into his car and left. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated she was just lying in the front yard, yelling for help. She eventually was able to get up and go inside, yelling for help, when her son came down and she was able to call 911.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated she has known Mr. Vaughn for years; however, they have been dating for about two years in a romantic relationship. They have had some altercations in the past; however, they have never been this bad.

EMS arrived on scene to check out Ms. [VICTIM #1]. They advised her that she should go to the hospital to be seen and possibly receive stitches for her lip. Pictures were taken of the above injuries. Also, pictures were obtained of where the incident happened in the front yard. There was blood in the grass, two hoop earrings, and one croc shoe, which, according to Ms. [VICTIM #1], belonged to Mr. Vaughn.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] was advised of the TPO process and was recommended to do so tomorrow morning, after she is discharged from the hospital.

Mr. Vaughn’s address is at [3300 BLOCK] George Busbee Parkway NW, Kennesaw, Ga 30144. I had dispatch notify Cobb Co Pd to see if the car he drove from the scene was at the location. Sgt. Hicks notified us that the car was at the residents, however, they would not be able to make contact with Mr. [VAUGHN]. Sgt. Hicks stated that it would be something there warrants or a special unit would have to do.

Warrants were taken out and signed by Judge Johnson for aggravated battery, family violence.

Once the warrant was obtained and signed, all relevant information was sent to Sgt. Hicks at Cobb Co PD.
