On 05-24-2026 I, Officer Ragsdale, responded to 115 Chapman Road to the Quality Inn after a 911 call was made from that location. During the call there was no speaking with the dispatcher, but the dispatcher stated that she could hear a dog barking in the back ground along with a woman screaming “Get Off Of Me.”
Dispatchers were not able to get an exact room number but was able to ping the location of the phone to the back right room. Officer Rountree and myself made contact with the end room, and made contact with the occupants inside of the room. The male and female were both okay and stated they were just enjoying “Coitus”.
At this time a female exited the next room over and I heard a dog barking. I made contact with her and asked if everything was okay, she stated I just don’t want him to get in trouble. Speaking of her boyfiend Cody Harris. I then spoke with her and she stated they got into an argument and during the argument he took her phone as she called 911 and threw it up against the wall. I did not see any visiable marks or bruising on her person or anyhting to indicate that it was nothing but a loud verbal argument.
I spoke with Cody who stated that she kept him awake last night and he was upset at this. They got into the argument and he threw her phone up against the wall.
Cody was then placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and transported to Byron Police Department where he was booked and taken to the Peach County Jail.
