On 04/27/2023, I was patrolling the area of Gray Road and GA 212 when I observed a 2017 Toyota Rav4 in the ditch. I determined the driver, Jeriann Bowie, was under the influence of alcohol. While I was taking Bowie into custody, she refused to give me her hands and she prevented me from shutting the back door with her feet. Bowie refused to take the state administered breath test.
I transported Bowie to the Putnam County Jail where I turned her over to the jail staff. I charged Bowie with DUI alcohol, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Obstruction.
