On Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, at approximately 21:59 Clayton Police Sergeant Andy Beck was dispatched to the Days Inn, Located at number 54 Highway 441 North in Clayton, GA 30525 for an altercation. Sgt Beck, Officer Sarah Chapman along with Rabun County Sheriff’s Sergeant Steven Barnes arrived and located a female standing on the sidewalk. The Officers approached her, and she was identified as [VICTIM #1]. She advised officers she met a girl a couple rooms down, she identified her as Autom Maney. She said Autom came to her room and attempted to cause an altercation, she said upon leaving while walking away she said she would beat her up. She said she had a recording. She said she heard Autom say she stole her Augmentin, which is an antibiotic.

She said she met Autom earlier that day and Autom gave her some food. She said when Autom came back in the evening, she was mad and came to her room asking about some money. She said she asked Autom to exit the room, and she did, but when she left, she made a threat. She said when Autom made it down to her room, she heard her say (I stole her Augmentin). Sgt Beck left Officer Chapman with [VICTIM #1] and he and Sgt Barnes went to speak with Autom.

Officers spoke with Autom and [WITNESS #1], Autom said she did go down to [VICTIM #1]’s room and confront her about calling the Police and telling them she stole some money. Autom said she told her she did not steal any money that she needed to ask [REDACTED]. Autom and [WITNESS #1] said [VICTIM #1] showed up earlier in the day with [REDACTED] and they would not let [REDACTED] in the room due to him stealing things. Autom said she did not threaten her but did have words with her.

Sgt Beck and Barnes went back and spoke with [VICTIM #1] and Officer Chapman. Officer Chapman advised Beck she heard a recording of someone talking in a loud and aggressive manor and then they walked away and said they would beat her up. But there was no video just audio. [VICTIM #1] then played the recording, and Sgt Beck recorded it on his city issued phone. Sgt Beck heard a female walking away and saying (Ill Beat your GD a*s).

Sgt Beck along with Sgt Barnes went back to Autom’s room and played the recording. Autom identified the female on the recording as herself. Sgt Beck then placed Autom under arrest for Disorderly Conduct, due to the way she was acting towards [VICTIM #1]. He placed her in handcuffs behind her back, checked for tightness and double locked them.

He took her to his patrol car and Autom complained about the cuffs hurting her wrist. Sgt Beck attempted to put a second set so they would not hurt her wrist, she still said they hurt. He then moved them around the front.

He then transported her to the Rabun County Detention Center where he turned her over to jail staff without incident. Sgt Beck then returned to service.
