On 05/02/2026 at approximately 2302 hours, I (Deputy Andrew Zimmer 410) and Deputy Amanda Donald 416 were dispatched to [800 BLOCK] Daylily Ave, apartment [REDACTED], in reference to an assault.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with both [VICTIM #1] (victim) and Dominique Anthony (suspect). Both [VICTIM #1] and Dominque admitted to being in a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical altercation. Dominque alleged that [VICTIM #1] started the altercation, while [VICTIM #1] alleged that Dominique started the altercation. Both [VICTIM #1] and Dominque sustained lacerations to their faces. There was no bruising or any injuries to both parties’ arms/hands. After the altercation, [VICTIM #1] agreed to leave for the evening.

[VICTIM #1] stated that while he was waiting for Dominque to bring him shoes, Dominique’s son (Carlos Doughtry/suspect) approached the vehicle and punched him in the face with a closed fist. As a response, [VICTIM #1] stated that he began exiting the vehicle to confront Carlos, which is when two other unknown individuals with firearms pistol-whipped him with the barrel of a handgun on the left side of his face. [VICTIM #1] stated that the pistol whip caused damage to his driver’s side door window from the gun. [VICTIM #1] stated that after the pistol whip, two additional males approached the scene in an unknown vehicle and pointed firearms at him. The two males left in the same vehicle, Carlos left the scene with the other two unknown males on foot.

I provided a case card to both parties and advised them of the warrant application process in relation to the Simple Battery Family violence. No arrests were made due to conflicting stories. I notified Sgt Josh Evans in CID of the incident. CID responded to the scene and took over the investigation.
