On 08/31/2026 at approximately 1927 hours, I, Deputy Itanji Bryant, was dispatched to 2260 Wrightsboro Road (Piedmont Summerville ER) in reference to a past assault.
Upon arrival, I made contact with [VICTIM #1] (victim), who stated that on 08/30/2026 at approximately 0100 hours, she and her boyfriend and father of her child, later identified as Curtis Proctor, became involved in a verbal argument over the telephone. [VICTIM #1] stated that during the argument, Curtis told her, “Don’t make me come home and choke the life out of you.”
[VICTIM #1] stated that she returned home at approximately 0130 hours. Upon arriving home, Curtis began yelling at her and told her, “Don’t close the door.” [VICTIM #1] stated that she went into the bathroom and closed the door. Curtis then kicked the bathroom door open and began choking her. [VICTIM #1] stated that Curtis repeatedly struck her head against the bathroom wall. [VICTIM #1] stated that she eventually fell to the floor, at which time Curtis continued striking her head against the bathroom floor.
[VICTIM #1] stated that Curtis then grabbed her by the hair and dragged her into a back room while their shared child, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] witnessed the incident. [VICTIM #1] stated that once they were in the back room, Curtis continued striking her head against the floor. Curtis then picked her up and slammed her onto the bed.
[VICTIM #1] stated that after the assault, Curtis forced her to log into her phone account and access her messages so he could determine whether she was having a sexual relationship with one of his friends.
By the time I arrived on scene, [VICTIM #1] was already in an examination room awaiting medical treatment. I did observe [VICTIM #1] to have two black eyes swollen shut, bruises on her neck, shoulders and back. [VICTIM #1] was provided with resources for battered women, a case number, and instructions on how to obtain a copy of the report. [VICTIM #1] was also provided with a link to upload photographs documenting any injuries sustained during the incident. Warrant signed.
