On 041626 at 2307 hours, Deputy John Mitchum (321) was dispatched to [3600 BLOCK] Spanish Trace Dr in reference to shots fired.
Upon arrival, Deputies began canvassing the area around Spanish Trace looking for evidence of gunfire. Deputies discovered shell casings on the 2500 block of Andorra Drive. Deputies marked a total of 23 shell casings in front of [2500 BLOCK] Andorra Drive. Deputies obtained video from a residents door bell camera showing the occupants of two different vehicles exchanging gunfire.
Cpl Brooks (C33) spoke with [WITNESS #1] (Complainant), who stated that she heard around 15 shots that sounded like they were being fired around the area of Gibraltar and Pamplona.
[VICTIM #1] (Victim) later walked into Wellstar Hospital with a gunshot wound in his right thigh. [VICTIM #1] advised the hospital staff that he was walking from the Amax on Tobacco Rd to Spanish Trace when he was shot.
CID was notified and responded to the scene. All evidence collected and investigations was turned over to Sgt Brown (B40), Inv Mathis (706) and Inv Walker (702).
