[NARRATIVE #1 on June 20, 2026]
On June 20, 2026, at approximately 0050 hours, deputies with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to [200 BLOCK] Warren Road in reference to a person suffering from a gunshot wound.
Upon arrival, deputies located [VICTIM #1] inside the residence with at least one apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. Deputy Coroner [REDACTED] responded to the scene and pronounced [VICTIM #1] deceased at 0138 hours as a result of his injuries.
Deputies subsequently located [VICTIM #2] near the scene operating a white 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV bearing Georgia tag [REDACTED]. The vehicle displayed multiple projectile strikes to the front end. During an interview, [VICTIM #2] stated that he was parked near the driveway of the residence when an unknown individual fired multiple rounds toward his vehicle for unknown reasons, striking the vehicle while he was seated in the driver’s seat.
The investigation has been turned over to CID.

[NARRATIVE #2 on June 20, 2026]
On 062026, at approximately 1300 hours, [WITNESS #1], contacted the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a found firearm at [100 BLOCK] Gardners Mill Road. Inv. Jones noted the residence was near another residence where a homicide had just occurred and it was reported that several people fled from the residence after the shooting.
Upon arrival, Inv. Jones spoke with the homeowner, [WITNESS #1], who advised he was in his yard earlier in the morning, around 10am, when him and a neighbor observed a red or maroon colored Chrysler sedan pull into the cul-de-sac, turn around, and park in front of a small tree in his yard. [WITNESS #1] advised an unknown black female got out of the car and began to rummage through the base of the bushes of the tree. [WITNESS #1] stated he began to walk towards the vehicle when the black female got back into the car and drove away.
[WITNESS #1] stated he began to trim the bushes in his yard and discovered a beige Glock 19X 9mm handgun (S/N:CEEH192) in the base of one of his bushes that was in close proximity to the tree the unknown black female parked near.
Inv. George Meyers recovered the aforementioned firearm on Property Receipt# 553431, and later turned the firearm over to the Evidence Lockers.
Inv. Jones conducted a searched of the listed forearm and found that it had been stolen in reference to Case Number 26-105961. Inv. Jones contacted Records clerk [REDACTED] to report the recovery of the firearm.
