On May 31, 2026 at 2356 hours, I Deputy Anthony Fabish and Deputy Brandon Watson were dispatched to [REDACTED] in reference to a sexual assault.

Upon arrival, we were met outside of the residence by the complainant [WITNESS #1] and the victim [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [WITNESS #1] advised that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her that the arrested (Eddie Smith Jr) made her masturb*te his pe*is, and he ejaculated on her hands. Dер Watson asked [WITNESS #1] if Eddie was located inside the residence. [WITNESS #1] advised that he was.

At this time, Dep Watson and I entered the residence and asked Eddie if he would meet us inside the kitchen. Eddie entered the kitchen and was detained. Eddie advised that he knew the reason he was being detained. When asked why he was being detained, Eddie advised it was because his daughter had asked him about where children come from and how it works.

Eddie further advised that he would do anything for his daughter and that he showed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] his pe*is and had her touch it. Eddie was advised of his Miranda Rights, and Eddie declined to speak to us. Eddie was escorted to Dep Watson’s Patrol car till CID arrived on scene.

After placing Eddie in the back of the patrol car, I went to speak with [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] advised that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was afraid to tell her what was going on in the household at the time but she had enough. [WITNESS #1] advised that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her that mid-January while [WITNESS #1] was out of town, Eddie told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to come into his bedroom while he was naked. [WITNESS #1] advised that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her that Eddie had [REDACTED BY AGENCY] lock the door and lay with him in bed. [WITNESS #1] advised that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her that Eddie told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to masturb*te his pe*is till he ejaculated. [WITNESS #1] advised that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her that Eddie cleaned himself off and had [REDACTED BY AGENCY] wash her hands.

[WITNESS #1] advised that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her that after she washed her hands, Eddie gave her cookies and said thank you and unlocked the door. [WITNESS #1] advised that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her after she exited the room, other [REDACTED BY AGENCY] asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] what they were doing in the room. [WITNESS #1] advised that Eddie told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] that they were just folding clothes.

[WITNESS #1] further advised that this was not the first time this had happened. [WITNESS #1] advised that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her, Eddie would invite [REDACTED BY AGENCY] into the game room and Eddie would be watching sexually explicit videos and have [REDACTED BY AGENCY] masturb*te his pe*is. [WITNESS #1] further advised that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her that Eddie would be naked and have his pe*is out and ask [REDACTED BY AGENCY] for a hug. When [REDACTED BY AGENCY] would give Eddie a hug, he would touch her buttocks.

[WITNESS #1] advised that this was the first time [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her about what was going on because she was scared. [WITNESS #1] advised that she is worried about her other children and if this has happened to them. Let it be known that besides [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] there are two other children in the house, other [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and other [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

Eddie was transported and committed to the CBWDC, and custody was transferred to jail intake staff. Sgt Burney Doyle was contacted and notified of the situation. Sgt Joshua Evans with CID was contacted for warrant approval. Investigator Trivia Hardy (728) was contacted and arrived on scene to speak with [WITNESS #1] further. [REDACTED] with the Department of Family and Child Services was contacted and notified about the incident. Warrant was applied for and obtained, Warrant was received by Sgt Johnson (C777) in records.
