On 09/28/2026, at 1158 hours, I, Deputy Tahaj Smith, and Deputy Evann Bibbs responded to [2000 BLOCK] Wrightsboro Rd in reference to an Assault.

Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with [VICTIM #1] (Victim), who stated he and Elgin Walker (Arrestee), were having a converstation inside the residence, as they normally do, when Walker began to speak about his ancestors. [VICTIM #1] stated for unknown reasons, Walker struck him in the face with a closed fist and he fell and hit the ground. [VICTIM #1] stated he believes he was only struck once; however, his injuries suggest he was struck at least three times, as his nose is broken, his right eye is blackened and swollen shut, and he was bleeding from his mouth. MED 14 arrived on scene to transport [VICTIM #1] to Wellstar Hospital for medical treatment. [VICTIM #1] stated he does wish to press charges against Walker for the assault.

Walker stated he did not strike [VICTIM #1], because he isn’t a violent man. However, the God he serves has given him the ability to read minds, but only of those who mean to cause him harm. Walker stated once he read [VICTIM #1]’s mind, his ancestors took over and assaulted [VICTIM #1] on his behalf.

Deputies spoke with [WITNESS #1] (Witness), who stated Walker unprovokingly attacked [VICTIM #1] after speaking to him about his ancestors. [WITNESS #1] also stated [VICTIM #1] was struck only one time.

Due to both the victim and witness statements, along with the extent of [VICTIM #1]’s injuries, Deputies arrested Walker for Aggravated Battery Family Violence and transported him to the Charles B Webster Detention Center without further incident. CID Sgt. James Tredore (B36) was notified in reference to this call. Warrants applied for.
