[NARRATIVE #1 on February 17, 2026]

On 02/17/2026 at approximately 2326 hours, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a possible domestic dispute at [4300 BLOCK] Peach Orchard Road.

Upon arrival, Deputy Kevin Clarke announced he was with the Sheriff’s Office and made contact with Jeff Otyson at the front door of the residence. Otyson was holding a Palmetto Arms PA-15 rifle, .300 Blackout caliber (SN: DCSF936560), in his right hand. Deputy Clarke issued multiple verbal commands for Otyson to place the rifle on the ground. Otyson ignored the commands and pointed the firearm directly at Deputy Clarke.

In response, Deputy Clarke discharged his service weapon in self-defense, striking Otyson at least once in the abdomen. Otyson was transported to Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center for treatment of his gunshot wound. According to Dr. [REDACTED], Otyson is currently listed in stable condition.
