On Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 08:54 hours, I, Deputy La’Kadrian Griffin (226), along with Deputy Reginald Holcomb (223), was dispatched to [3400 BLOCK] Toms Drive regarding an assault.

Upon my arrival, I made contact with [VICTIM #1] (victim), who had an apparent injury to her left eye. I advised dispatch that the scene was safe for EMS and attempted to take photos of [VICTIM #1]’s injuries. While doing so, she began to stumble backwards and nodded yes when I asked if she felt like she was going to pass out. I reached for [VICTIM #1] as Central MED 28 arrived and instructed me to lower her to the ground.

After being placed in the back of the ambulance, [VICTIM #1] stated that Malcom Williams (primary aggressor) wrapped a TV cord around his arm and swung the TV in her direction, striking her approximately three times before she lost consciousness. [VICTIM #1] described the TV as being about 20 inches, although she wasn’t quite sure.

MED 28 began their assessment and advised me that [VICTIM #1]’s left eye was swollen shut, preventing her from seeing. Both shoulders had bruises, with an abrasion on the left shoulder, and there was swelling on her right forearm. She also had a laceration on the middle of her chest, as well as on her knee and shin that was approximately 3 to 4 inches long.

Additionally, there was decreased mobility and motor sensation on her right side. MED 28 also noted that it looked like the suspect had clawed the victim’s neck and that the assault must have continued after she lost consciousness due to the numerous injuries on her body.

[VICTIM #1] stated that she confronted Malcom after he did not come home the night before, which caused him to become upset and carry out the attack. She believed he was under the influence of a drug called ICE and did not remember what happened after she passed out, although she did bite his hand after being struck by the TV. [VICTIM #1] described Malcom as a Black male with a short haircut, last seen wearing black sweatpants, a black hoodie, and an unknown color backpack.

[VICTIM #1] indicated that she and Malcom lived in a shed in the back of the property, where the incident also took place. Deputy Holcomb (223) and I attempted to look in the shed but were unable to enter due to a pile-up of food and other miscellaneous items blocking the walkway. [VICTIM #1] was transported to Piedmont Hospital by MED 28. The address belongs to [REDACTED], who is dating [VICTIM #1]’s aunt. Efforts to reach [REDACTED] at the provided phone number were unsuccessful.

A male on the scene, [WITNESS #1], stated that he did not know what happened and was not familiar with either individual, but he confirmed that [VICTIM #1] knocked on his door asking to call 911, which he did using her phone. [WITNESS #1] stays at the residence and is the brother of [REDACTED].

I made contact with my on-duty supervisor, who advised me to reach out to CID. Investigator Brittany Jones (712) arrived on the scene, and the investigation was turned over to her.
