On June 13th, 2026 at 1455 hours. I Deputy Andrew Acosta (S-4 / D006) responded to [3000 BLOCK] Deans Bridge in reference to an assault. Investigation, later would determine the call for service, to be an Aggravated Assault / Aggravated Battery.

While responding to the listed location, Deputies on scene advised that a victim had sustained severe head trauma and was being transported to Wellstar MCG for his injuries. Deputies on scene were informed that a suspect (black male wearing a jersey) had fled the scene on foot north on Deans Bridge Road towards a nearby church.

Deputy Crystal Giannotti (K-7), Deputy Eric Gagne (121), and Deputy Aaron Mitchell (122) began canvassing the area attempting to locate the suspect. While canvassing the area, Deputy Gagne and Mitchell observed a suspect matching the aforementioned description as well as a female accompanying him in a wooded area behind [2400 BLOCK] Golden Camp Road. The male suspect then fled on foot but Deputy Gagne and Mitchell were able to detain both suspects.

I arrived on scene to assist, and initially, I attempted to identify the female subject, later identified as [REDACTED] (other). I attempted several times to get her pertinent information but [REDACTED] refused. I observed [REDACTED] to be sweating profusely and detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her body. I also observed her words and speech to be slurred. I approached the male suspect who was placed in the rear of Deputy Mitchell’s patrol vehicle. The suspect was later identified as Patrick Brisbon (suspect/arrested). While retrieving Brisbon’s pertinent information he made several excited utterances which included the following:

“It was self defense”
“He killed someone before”
“He came at me with a knife and I ducked it and I hit him over the head twice”

The same statements were recorded on Deputy Taylor Dunbar (S-2) and my body worn cameras.

I then returned to the incident location at [3000 BLOCK] Deans Bridge Road in front of apartments [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. While on scene, I contacted Deputy Ramon Apolinario (133). Deputy Apolinario advised me of the crime scene area, located in front of apartments [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. I observed several gauze and trauma bandages saturated with blood used by medical personnel on the victim later identified as [VICTIM #1] (victim).

Subsequently, I contacted [WITNESS #1] (witness) at the listed address. [WITNESS #1] advised that he observed Brisbon and [VICTIM #1] having an argument over money. [WITNESS #1] further advised that Brisbon and [VICTIM #1] also had been arguing about a relationship pertaining to [REDACTED]. [WITNESS #1] stated that he did not see the incident but observed [VICTIM #1] with a hole, and blood on his head running to his house, he also advised he saw one of [VICTIM #1]’s eyes hanging out.

I then contacted [WITNESS #2] (witness). [WITNESS #2] stated that she was contacted by people who live in the mobile home park. [WITNESS #2] stated that she was advised that [VICTIM #1] was injured and she knew it was involving Brisbon. [WITNESS #2] stated that Brisbon and [VICTIM #1] were arguing about [REDACTED]. [WITNESS #2] stated that Brisbon believed that [VICTIM #1] and [REDACTED] were having a relationship outside of their own. [WITNESS #2] further stated that Brisbon and [VICTIM #1] both have substance abuse issues.

Deputy Apolinario advised me that he had secured the weapon used in the incident. I observed a multicolored snowman statue which was broken in two pieces. Investigator Foozan Monga and Investigator Devante Brown arrived on scene. I advised them of the circumstances and the scene was turned over to CID. In addition, the listed weapon was collected by Crime Scene Unit 5 who arrived shortly after.

Med unit 24 transported [VICTIM #1] to WellStar MCG for the listed injuries.

Brisbon was transported by Deputy Mitchell to 400 Walton Way to be interviewed by CID, I then transported Brisbon to the CBWDC following that interview.
