I Deputy Jesse Bachand (323) and Deputy Alejandro Marin-Pelaez (K8) were dispatched to [REDACTED] in reference to shots fired.
Upon our arrival we met and spoke with [VICTIM #1] (victim) on Nunnery Rd, she was walking back to her house after bringing her children to her mother’s house. [VICTIM #1] stated she and her boyfriend Quantay Prescott (arrestee) had a verbal argument in the front yard when they had returned home. [VICTIM #1] stated she had her children go inside she went in the house shut and locked the front door. [VICTIM #1] stated she told her children to go in their rooms. [VICTIM #1] stated she opened the front door and told Prescott to leave, Prescott barged in the house and put a handgun to her face. [VICTIM #1] stated she pushed Prescott out of the house and closed and locked the door. [VICTIM #1] stated once she shut the door Prescott fired twice through the door.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] (victim), [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (victim) and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (victim) were inside the house when the incident occurred. [VICTIM #1] showed us the video footage. An argument could be heard but could not make out what was said. It shows [VICTIM #1] entering the house and closing the door. It shows a black male trying to open the door and say to let him in the house. It shows the door open and the male enter the house and quickly exit the house backwards. The male then fires twice at the door having to rack the handgun each time it was fired. The handgun appeared not to work on the third attempt to fire it.
I notified Sgt Justin Poston (B33) CID was notified. There was a projectile and spent casing found on scene. The scene was turned over to CID when they arrived on scene. [VICTIM #1] was provided a link to Axon to upload the videos and the case number. We relocated to [REDACTED] in an attempt to locate Prescott. Prescott was taken into custody and transported to CBWDC. I spoke with [REDACTED] in records she verified Prescott is not a convicted felon.
