On Thursday, May 28, 2026, at approximately 1714 hours, Deputy Hannah Gay was dispatched to [1800 BLOCK] Fayetteville Drive in reference to a shooting.
Upon arrival, Deputy Gay made contact with [WITNESS #1], who stated he heard a gunshot. [WITNESS #1] stated he then witnessed a vehicle (dark green Toyota Corolla, GA Tag [REDACTED]) crash into a large dumpster parked in front of the [REDACTED] apartment building. [WITNESS #1] stated he approached the vehicle and located a black female, later identified as [VICTIM #1], sitting in the front driver seat with a gunshot wound.
Central EMS arrived on scene and transported [VICTIM #1] to WellStar MCG for further treatment. CID was advised and arrived on scene.
