On April 26, 2026, at approximately 0053 hours, I, Deputy Cameryn Cook (307), was dispatched to 623 Crawford Ave, in reference to a shooting with one subject injured.

Upon arrival, I observed one male subject who had sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim had what appeared to be an entry wound to the side of his abdomen and an exit wound through the buttocks.

The victim was identified as [VICTIM #1] (Victim). [VICTIM #1] was identified by his wife, [WITNESS #1] (Witness), who was present on scene.

[WITNESS #1] stated that she and her husband [VICTIM #1] were walking down Crawford Ave, when [VICTIM #1] observed a group of individuals involved in a altercation and they approached, in an attempt to intervene. [WITNESS #1] stated that the individuals then began assaulting [VICTIM #1] and attempted to shoot him in the head, but instead shot him in the abdomen.

[WITNESS #1] further stated that after the shooting, the individuals fled the scene on foot, through a lot in the direction of Watkins St.

CID was notified and responded to the scene. All evidence and information were turned over to Inv. Charlie Walker (702).

The suspects are unknown at this time.
