On Monday, 06/15/26 at 12:37 hours, I, Deputy La’Kadrian Griffin (226), was dispatched to [1900 BLOCK] Gay Dr regarding a suspicious situation.
On arrival, I made contact with the complainant, [WITNESS #1], who stated her mother, [VICTIM #1], had been taken advantage of by her alleged caregiver, a woman named Stephanie Renee Weeks, who also stole everything from the house.
Mrs. [WITNESS #1] stated she last visited her mom 2 months ago, when she learned that Mrs. Weeks had moved in and was acting as a caregiver to Mrs. [VICTIM #1], reminding her to take her medication and helping with simple tasks around the house. Mrs. [WITNESS #1] stated she had been suspicious of Mrs. Weeks, but did not have the authority to make her leave. Mrs. [WITNESS #1] stated that when she made contact with Mrs. Weeks today, Mrs. Weeks stated that Mrs. [VICTIM #1] was diagnosed with Dementia and that they both agreed to get rid of items.
I spoke with Mrs. [VICTIM #1], who advised that she could not remember exactly what was taken, but she knows Mrs. Weeks threw her tableware in the trash. Upon entering the home, Mrs. [WITNESS #1] stated that a TV that was on the wall was no longer there. I observed a TV outside by the trash can and one in the backyard, but Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated they weren’t hers.
Mrs. [WITNESS #1] stated she believes her mother agreed to some stuff because she is easily coerced due to her old age.
Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated she would stay with a neighbor until she could get Mrs. Weeks evicted. I advised Mrs. [WITNESS #1] to take pictures of the residence so they would have documentation in case anything is disturbed or taken during the process.
Mrs. Weeks was not on scene at the time of my arrival, and the complainant could not provide much information about her.
