On Tuesday May 19th, 2026 I, Inv. Hoard, began investigating a theft investigation with case (26-002789) of a push lawn mower from the residence of [300 BLOCK] Hammond Dr, Griffin, GA 30223 with a victim identified as ([VICTIM #1] [REDACTED BY AGENCY]99).

During the investigation, I had obtained information that the push lawn mower that was stolen from the residence of [300 BLOCK] Hammond Dr, Griffin, GA 30224 was a black and red in color Toro 21in 140cc gas push mower. [VICTIM #1] also provided a model number of (21311) and a serial number of [REDACTED]. I then began looking for a push mower on Leads Online that possibly matched the description of the one given by the victim [VICTIM #1] and was able to locate a red and black Toro push mower with a damaged handle that was also a Toro push mower and had a serial number of [REDACTED]. I observed that the push mower had been pawned at Sams Pawn Shop located at 1027 W Taylor St, Griffin, GA 30223 on Saturday May 9th, 2026 at approximately 1641 hours by a black male subject identified as (Aziz Qur’an Jackson [REDACTED BY AGENCY]07) with the GA OLN of [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Aziz had a local address of [800 BLOCK] W Poplar St, Griffin, GA 30223 which is only a few blocks from [VICTIM #1]’s residence. The black male subject Aziz pawned the push lawn mower and received ($35.00) from Sams Pawn Shoр.

At approximately 1510 hours I, Inv. Hoard, did a follow-up at the business of Sams Pawn Shop located at 1027 W Taylor St, Griffin, GA 30223 in reference to speaking with the employees about the pawned Toro push mower. The employees were able to locate the pawned push mower at the back of the store as it had not yet been sold. The black and red in color Toro 21in 140cc lawn mower was retrieved from the store and then turned back over to the original owner [VICTIM #1] with a property receipt number of (53893).

I will be speaking to a Magistrate Judge in reference to obtaining arrest warrants for Aziz Jackson for (Theft by Deception) for ($35.00) with Sams Pawn Shop associated with case number (26-002947).
