On 05/24/2023, I, Ptl. A. Shirley, responded in a non-emergency mode to 1340 W Taylor St, which is located within the City of Griffin Spalding County Georgia, to a report of Fraud.

Upon arriving my departmental body worn camera was activated

I spoke to [WITNESS #1], Who stated that there was a lady at the counter trying to get money out of an account that was not hers. [WITNESS #1] stated she was trying to withdraw $4,500 from the account and was using a fake ID with someone else’s name on it.

I spoke to the lady at the counter, who stated that her name was Stephanie Lea and handed me a Fake Passport ID Card with The name Stephanie Lea on it.

After running the name Stephanie Lea through Dispatch, the lady then stated her name was Jennifer Mozo.

Jennifer stated that the picture on the card was her but the name was not.

I advised Jennifer that she was being detained and we stepped away from the counter. I placed Jennifer in handcuffs behind her back. The handcuffs were checked for proper fit and double locked

The odor of marijuana was coming from Jennifer’s purse. I asked Jennifer if she had any drugs inside her purse. Jennifer stated that she had a small amount of marijuana in her purse. I observed the Marijuana in a cigarette pack.

Jennifer then stated that she was being forced to try and get the money out of the account.

Jennifer was patted down and was placed into Ofc. Zubia’s patrol vehicle.

The Marijuana was placed into a evidence bag and Jennifers purse was placed into the passenger seat of Ofc. Zubia’s Patrol Vehicle.

Jennifer was then transported to the Griffin Police Department Headquarters by Ofc. Zubia to be interviewed by CID.

While Jennifer was in the interview room, Jennifer was talking real slow and was very hard to understand at times.

Jennifer’s purse and belongings were kept in a separate area away from Jennifer while being interviewed.

Jennifer possessed a Fake Passport ID and a Fake Bank Card with Stephanie’s name on it.

I found evidence for the charges of Forgery in the first degree, Identity theft, Giving False name and DOB, Possession of marijuana and Possession of False Documents.

After advising Jennifer that was under arrest. Jennifer’s hands were placed in handcuffs behind her back. The handcuffs were checked for proper fit and double locked. Jennifer was searched for weapons and contraband. Jennifer was then placed in the rear of my patrol vehicle, which is search before and after every shift. Jennifer’s purse and belongings were placed in the front passenger seat of my patrol vehicle.

Jennifer was then transported to the Spalding County Jail via the most direct route.

Upon Arriving at the Jail it was found the Jennifer had a small baggy of a crystal like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine in her purse.

After completing the proper paperwork the offender was turned over to the deputies at the jail.

Jennifer will be charged with Crossing Guardline and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Warrants will be obtained for all the charges above.
