On 04/12/25 at approximately 2116 hours, I was patrolling the area of 6th and Solomon when I was flagged down by a female. The female was later identified as [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated she organized the event that was taking place downtown. [WITNESS #1] stated that there was a white female in the field harassing people and being very loud.
I met with above said female who was a white female, who was identified as Leah Beabout. I observed Beabout to be in an irate state. Beabout stated that there was a man in the field who was harassing her, and that’s what she was irate about. While speaking with Beabout, I smelled what I believed to be an alcoholic beverage coming from her person.
While speaking with [WITNESS #1], Beabout was being loud and belligerent with MPO M. Towns and Ofc. M. Watkins. Towns and Watkins then placed Beabout under arrest for disorderly conduct.
Beabout was handcuffed behind her back, double-locked for security, and checked for fit. While Beabout was being handcuffed, she was being slightly combative, not allowing officers to properly search her person. Beabout started shouting that she was a Muslim and didn’t want the male officers touching her anymore. Beabout was then placed in the backseat of my patrol vehicle.Post arrest , Beabout was shouting out racially charged verbage, stating that I was a “black b*tch” and calling my fellow white officer a “white motherfu*ker”. Beabout was transported on the most direct route to the Spalding County Jail. At the jail, my service weapon was secured in my locked vehicle, and Beabout was escorted inside, where she was turned over to Intake Deputies.
My patrol vehicle was checked for contraband/weapons before and after Beabout had been inside.
Beabout was issued a citation under City Ordinance 58-2: Disorderly Conduct (Citation #03831)
A copy of the citation was provided to Beabout.
