On the 6th day of July 2025, I, Deputy J. Reeves responded in non-emergency mode to 601 S 8th St Griffin Ga 30224 in reference to a domestic that already occurred.

Upon arrival I activated my county issued body camera and made contact with [VICTIM #1] (-1982 W/F) who stated last night around midnight her boyfriend identified as Michael Boozer (-1974 W/M) and her got into a physical altercation. [VICTIM #1] stated they were leaving Michaels daughters home which was located in Williamson Ga but she does not know if it was in Pike county or Spalding county and she does not know the address. She stated they began to have a verbal altercation.

[VICTIM #1] stated she does not know exactly what she said that made Michael mad but shortly after leaving the home while in the car Michael reached over and placed his hand around [VICTIM #1] throat and began choking her. [VICTIM #1] stated she was pinned between the center console and the passenger seat which she was sitting in as Michael actively had his hand around her neck and was choking her. [VICTIM #1] advised me that she believes she may have broke Michaels finger when she grabbed his hand and attempted to remove his hand from around her throat, she stated she heard a “pop” sound. [VICTIM #1] stated she began hitting Michael while he was actively choking her to make him stop.

After this [VICTIM #1] advised me that Michael began hitting her and they continued to strike each other on the way back to Michaels home located at [200 BLOCK] Amelia Rd Griffin Ga 30223. I asked [VICTIM #1] if at any point did the altercation stop and she advised me she was not sure, she stated that it felt constant through the whole trip home. [VICTIM #1] stated Michael spit on her also and that she hit him after he spit on her and this happened multiple times. Micheal also snatched [VICTIM #1] phone from her hand while she was on the phone with Michaels daughter while they were in the vehicle.

Once they arrived at [200 BLOCK] Amelia, [VICTIM #1] stated she told Michael she just wanted he keys to leave since they were in the home. [VICTIM #1] stated Michael told her “you’re not gonna live to see tomorrow”. [VICTIM #1] stated once she got into the home and finally retrieved her keys her and Michael began physically fighting again and at one point she was backed into a bathroom at the home and Michael was actively hitting her. [VICTIM #1] stated she continued to spit blood out in the bathroom and at one point told Michael she was done. [VICTIM #1] stated she was able to get away after stating this and she advised she grabbed her keys and ran out of the home to her vehicle and got in the car and left. She stated Michael was actively chasing her out of the home.

[VICTIM #1] stated she did not at any point call emergency services due to her being on parole. She stated she was worried that she would get in trouble for hitting Michael and I advised her that if she is defending herself she would not be in any trouble. [VICTIM #1] was able to provide me with the make and model of the vehicle that Michael drives and also his place of work. [VICTIM #1] stated Michael drives a newer Ford Bronco Gray in color. Upon checking flock camera systems I found a 2022 Ford Bronco matching that description with GaTag# [REDACTED] that returned to Michael. [VICTIM #1] also stated Michael currently works at Mercedes Benz in Macon Ga. I took photos of all of [VICTIM #1] bruises and they have been submitted at this time. [VICTIM #1] was also provided with a case number.

I spoke with Magistrate Judge Grubbs and obtained criminal arrest warrants on Michael for the following

Aggravated Assault via Strangulation – War#(25-EW-003998)
Battery Family Violence – War#(25-EW-003999)
False Imprisonment – War#(25-EW-004000)
Robbery (Sudden Snatching) – War#(25-EW-004001)

Prior to taking warrants on Michael, Deputy Willetts conducted a traffic stop on Michaels vehicle and he was taken to jail. While I was speaking with Judge Grubbs Deputy Willetts responded to a call at [200 BLOCK] Amelia Rd that [VICTIM #1] placed in reference to picking up property. While at the residence he observed blood in the bathroom of the home that [VICTIM #1] stated was from the incident. He also observed [VICTIM #1]’s phone in the front yard of the property damaged. I spoke with Judge Grubbs and was able to obtain a warrant for Criminal Trespass Damage War#(25-EW-004008) also.
