On 08/25/2026 at approximately 0423 hours, Deputy Willetts responded in non emergency mode to Wellstar Hospital located at 601 South 8th St in Griffin GA in reference to a gun shot victim.
Upon arrival, Deputy Willetts made contact with Griffin PD Officers on scene who advised a victim came to the hospital with three gun shot wounds that occurred in Spalding County. Griffin PD Officers advised the victim identified as [VICTIM #1] (B/F Dob [REDACTED BY AGENCY]) arrived at the hospital stating she was shot three times somewhere on Teamon Rd.
Deputy Willetts made contact with [VICTIM #1] in room five of the ER, [VICTIM #1] advised she went to take car keys to someone who left them at her house. [VICTIM #1] stated she did not know the guys real name just knew him by Zay (Later identified as Nyjhir Roberts B/M Dob [REDACTED BY AGENCY]). [VICTIM #1] stated Roberts and her got into a verbal dispute after she found out he was also talking to [WITNESS #1] (B/F Dob [REDACTED BY AGENCY]) who was the driver of the vehicle she was in when the incident occurred. [VICTIM #1] stated she tried to hand Roberts the keys out of the back driver side window where she was sitting. [VICTIM #1] stated she tried to hand Roberts the keys multiple times, but he would not take them he kept telling her to get out and give them to him. [VICTIM #1] stated after multiple times of trying to give Roberts the keys and he would not take them she told [WITNESS #1] to just leave. [VICTIM #1] stated as they were backing out of the driveway Roberts approached the vehicle and shot three times. [VICTIM #1] stated she did not know she had been shot at first until a miles down the road. [VICTIM #1] was hit three times once in the left arm, once in the right arm and once in the left leg.
Deputy Willetts made contact with [WITNESS #1], [WITNESS #1] stated she drove [VICTIM #1] to meet Roberts to give him his keys. [WITNESS #1] stated when the arrived [VICTIM #1] and Roberts got into a verbal dispute and when she was backing out of the driveway Roberts started shooting. [WITNESS #1] stated she knew her car was hit but she did not know [VICTIM #1] was hit. [WITNESS #1] provided Roberts real name and showed Deputy Willetts a picture of him off his Instagram.
Deputy Willetts provided Roberts name to the Deputy enroute to the incident location provided by [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] described Deputy Willetts how to get to the incident location and then showed him the location on Google Maps. The incident location [WITNESS #1] provided was [1800 BLOCK] Jordan Hill Rd which is close to the intersection of Teamon Rd. Deputy Willetts showed [VICTIM #1] a street view of the incident location. [VICTIM #1] also showed Deputy Willetts where the incident occurred at the location. Deputy Willetts advised Deputy enroute to the location was [VICTIM #1] stated and upon other Deputy arriving on scene they located three shell casings.
Additionally there was two females in the vehicle when the incident occurred, who were identified as [REDACTED] ( B/F Dob [REDACTED BY AGENCY]) and [REDACTED] (B/F Dob [REDACTED BY AGENCY]) CID was contacted and the scene was turned over.
