On Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 0738 Hours Deputy Bickers #218 and Deputy Willetts #227 responded to [2700 BLOCK] Macon Rd in non-emergency mode in reference to a domestic family violence incident.
Upon arrival, Deputies activated their body worn cameras and observed the front door completely opened and many different objects on the floor as if there was a fight. Due to the manner of the domestic Deputies made entry into the residence.
Deputies then discovered [VICTIM #1] (B/F ) in the bedroom crying. Deputies asked if anyone else was still inside the residence [VICTIM #1] stated she was just in a fight with her fiancé and he left when he discovered law enforcement were en-route.
[VICTIM #1] stated she recently discovered her fiancé, Reginald Miller (B/M ) was on the sex offender registry. [VICTIM #1] upon discovering this, confronted Reginald wanting to break up with him. Reginald then became argumentative and eventually violent. During the altercation, [VICTIM #1] stated Reginald strangled, Bit, and pushed her to the floor while blocking her from leaving the residence by standing in front of the doorway obstructing her path.
Deputies inspected all injuries and they discovered Marks around her neck, a bite mark on her right hand, and scrapes on her knees Deputies took photographs of all injuries.
[VICTIM #1] then stated Reginald grabbed some items and quickly left in his Black Ram 2015 truck (Tag#[REDACTED] VIN#[REDACTED]).
Deputies were able to get [VICTIM #1] to write a statement form.
Deputies issued her a case number and advised her of all family violence resources available to her.
At 0907 Hours Deputy Willetts discovered Reginald’s vehicle back at the residence when he was passing. Additional Deputies then arrived on scene to attempt to locate Reginald. Deputies made contact again with [VICTIM #1] she stated when he returned, he left his truck and walked off when Deputies asked for a direction she stated she didn’t know. Deputies asked [VICTIM #1] if he was at the residence she stated he was not Deputies then asked for consent to enter the residence and make sure he wasn’t there she complied and let Deputies inside. They were unable to discover Reginald inside the residence.
Deputies then asked the next-door neighbors if they saw anything they stated they didn’t see any direction of travel but advised he likes to go on walks to the nearby lake at Hoppin Branch Rd.
Deputies patrolled the nearby area [VICTIM #1] stated his description was a Black male wearing a black shirt and shorts. After searching the area Deputies were not able to make contact.
At 0934 Deputy Bickers was notified that [VICTIM #1] requested to make a phone call regarding the case. When Deputy Bickers called, [VICTIM #1] stated she didn’t want to pursue any charges and just wanted to leave. Deputy Bickers advised [VICTIM #1] that he would not be able to drop the charges due to Georgia Family Violence laws.
At 1155 hours Deputy Bickers was notified that Reginald wanted to make contact through phone. When Deputy Bickers made contact, Reginald stated everything [VICTIM #1] said was lies and he never pushed her, bit her, or stopped her from leaving the residence. Deputy Bickers then advised Reginald that he would get his side of the story if they meet in person Reginald agreed and wanted to meet at 930 W Taylor St.
At 1510 hours Deputies met with Reginald at the stated address. Reginald stated that [VICTIM #1] got aggravated when he threw her phone on the couch starting an argument during this argument, [VICTIM #1] began to push, block, and grab him on his neck to prevent him from leaving the residence. Reginald then stated he managed to leave the residence and was able to get in contact with one of his friends to pick him up.
When Deputies questioned Reginald if he had any injuries, he pointed out towards his neck and his left elbow both had scratches and scrapes photos were taken of all injuries.
Deputies Had Reginald fill out a statement form.
Deputy Bickers then placed Reginald under arrest with handcuffs checked for proper fit and double locked where he was checked for contraband and transported by Deputy Bickers where he was then turned over to jail staff with no further incident.
Reginald Miller (B/M ) was arrested by Deputy Bickers on 7/28/2026 at 1534 Hours. Magistrate Judge Grubbs issued warrants against Reginald for the following charges.
