On 05/01/2026 at approximately 1353hrs, I PTL P Brown 4152 responded in non-emergency mode to 888 Meriwether St which is in the City of Griffin, Spalding County in regard to an Assault with EMS Response.

Upon arrival I observed a woman lying on the ground, with another woman standing over her tending to her wounds. I observed a black bag containing alcoholic beverages thrown around on the ground. Two slide on sandals, and a dollar bill were also sitting on the ground approximately five feet from the woman who was laying on the ground.

The woman was identified as Rubie Anderson who was observed to be laying on her back with a bloody left elbow and a bloody left heelifoot. Anderson first advised that an [REDACTED] subject attacked her and thew her onto the ground before leaving the seen. She stated he left in a green ford truck and lives down the street on Meriwether St.

Anderson then made a second statement advising that the suspect’s name was [REDACTED] who drives a green ford truck. She was getting a ride from [REDACTED] when he asked her to get out of the truck. Anderson states that [REDACTED] threw her stuff out of the truck then grabbed her and forcefully pulled her out of the vehicle. She fell onto the ground causing the bloody elbow and ankle, and possible back or neck injury. While she was on the ground [REDACTED] then stood over her and made a substantial movement with his leg to kick her.

EMS arrived on scene and began to help Anderson who had to be lifted onto the stretcher where she was transported to the Spalding Regional Hospital.

Officer Wilson 4073 was able to use Flock to identify a green in color Ford Ranger that had been in the area around the time of the incident. The vehicle belonged to [REDACTED] who lives right down the road at [1300 BLOCK] Oakdale Dr which is in the City of Griffin, Spalding County.

I conducted a follow up at [1300 BLOCK] Oakdale Dr where I made contact with [REDACTED] who stated that he never touched Anderson and that she fell out of his truck. He advised he was giving her a ride to the wig shop and she had agreed to pay him for the ride. [REDACTED] said that she wasn’t going to pay him, so he told her to get out the truck. He stated her helped grab her things and began to remove the items from the truck. [REDACTED] said that she then fell out of the truck at her own will and he then left the scene.

[REDACTED] was asked to complete a statement form with his side of the story. The statement was submitted into evidence.

I conducted a follow up at 601 S 8th St, Spalding Regional Hospital, with Anderson. She was lying in an emergency room actively arguing with hospital staff. Anderson was observed to be highly intoxicated and was unable to complete a statement form. Hospital staff stated that they haven’t been able to check her vitals or status because she refuses to cooperate with nursing staff.

I then made contact with an employee at Sunoco on Meriwether St to see if any camera footage caught the event. I observed a camera angle to show a small portion of what happened. In the footage Anderson can be seen falling into frame hitting the ground on her back. At no point can you see [REDACTED] approach her or attempt to hit or help her up. The footage I viewed was captured by my Axon body camera and was labeled with the case number.

Due to the obvious level of intoxication and conflicting stories, no action has been taken against either party at this time.
