On Thursday, August 21st, at 2351 hours Deputy Bickers #218 responded to [100 BLOCK] Oakwood CIR in non-emergency mode in reference to a vehicle theft.
Upon arrival, Deputy Bickers made contact with [VICTIM #1] (W/F [REDACTED BY AGENCY]) who stated her son Skylar Andrews (W/M [REDACTED BY AGENCY]) took her vehicle along with her credit card without permission and left the residence.
[VICTIM #1] also stated Skylar had been drinking and believed was driving under the influence.
Upon further investigation the vehicle was discovered to be a Gray Lexus Is250 (TAG#[REDACTED] VIN#[REDACTED])
Deputy Bickers then questioned [VICTIM #1] if Skylar had used her credit card. [VICTIM #1] then looked in her bank account to see if there were any transactions. [VICTIM #1] then stated she didn’t see any new transactions.
During investigation Deputy Bickers noticed a suspicious vehicle approach on Oakwood CIR as if it was about to turn, however it then stopped and continued further after a short pause. [VICTIM #1] then stated to Deputy Bickers that was her vehicle.
Deputy Bickers then left her drive way followed the vehicle and performed a traffic stop at [300 BLOCK] Elizabeth Ln. It was discovered that it was the same vehicle and the driver was identified as Skylar.
Deputy Bickers upon contacting Skylar noticed a strong odor of an alcoholic Beveridge on his breath. Deputy Locke #226 and Deputy Willetts #227 then arrived on scene.
Skylar was questioned if he drank any alcohol prior to driving the vehicle which Skylar then stated he had a few beers.
Deputy Locke asked Skylar if he wanted to preform standardized field sobriety test which he then refused Deputy Locke then read Skylar his implied consent and Skylar refused any further testing.
Skylar was then taken into custody with cuffs checked for proper fit and placed in Deputy Bickers patrol vehicle
Deputy Willetts then searched Skylar’s Vehicle and discovered 1 “Tropical Beer Hug IPA” in the rear passenger seat behind the center console.
Deputy Bickers checked Skylar for any contraband.
When Deputy Bickers asked Skylar about the credit card, he stated he never took [VICTIM #1]’s credit card and believes she might have misplaced it.
No credit card could be discovered on Skylar or the vehicle.
Deputy Locke then went back to the original address where he transported [VICTIM #1] to the vehicle; she then was able to recover the vehicle with no issues.
Deputy Bickers then transported Skylar to Spalding County Detention where he was served and signed an administrative license suspension.
Skylar was then turned over to Jail staff with no further issues.
Deputies asked [VICTIM #1] if she wanted to press charges regarding the theft of the vehicle and card [VICTIM #1] stated she did not want to press charges.
Skylar Andrews was placed under arrest by Deputy Bickers on 08/21/2026 at 0032 hours for the following
