On August 4th, 2026 I, Deputy H Dix responded to the Chevron gas station located at 3425 Jackson Road in non-emergency mode in reference to a hit and run.
Upon my arrival, I made contact with a female by the name of [VICTIM #1] (B/F ). [VICTIM #1] stated she was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Jackson Road and N Mcdonough. [VICTIM #1] stated it was her turn to go at the four way stop. [VICTIM #1] stated she began going through the intersection heading North bound, and a white in color Nissan Altima (TAG# [REDACTED]) also began going through the intersection after [VICTIM #1] did when it was not the Nissan Altimas turn to go.
[VICTIM #1] stated she began blowing her horn, and the Nissan Altima side swiped her driver door. [VICTIM #1] stated they both pulled into the Chevron parking lot, and the female driver in the Nissan Altima got out and looked at her car, and then proceeded to start getting back into her vehicle. [VICTIM #1] stated she advised the female driver that she had just hit her vehicle while going through the intersection, and the female driver in the Nissan Altima then stated back to her “No I didnt”, and got back into her vehicle, and left the scene heading North bound on N Mcdonough.
[VICTIM #1] did have damage on her driver side door. [VICTIM #1] was able to provide me with the tag number on the Nissan Altima, and the registered owner came back to a Tiffany Johnson (B/F ). [VICTIM #1]s father works at the Home Depot warehouse located at 2400 155 S Locust Grove, Ga, and he advised [VICTIM #1] that the white in color Nissan Altima was currently in the parking lot of the warehouse.
At this time, I went to the Home Depot Warehouse in attempts to locate the vehicle and the female driver. Henry County units met me at this location. I located the vehicle in the parking lot of the warehouse, and the vehicle had some scratches on the front right bumper. I went inside of the warehouse, and I came in contact with Tiffany. Tiffany was working security at the front door. I advised Tiffany I needed to speak to her, and we went outside to her vehicle.
At this time, I read Tiffany her Miranda Rights, and she agreed to speak to me. I asked Tiffany what happened at the intersection. Tiffany stated [VICTIM #1] did not have her lights on when they approached the intersection, and it was her turn to go at the intersection, so she went. Tiffany stated [VICTIM #1] began blowing her horn, and sped up to the side of her. Tiffany stated when [VICTIM #1] sped up, her vehicle scraped [VICTIM #1]s. Tiffany then stated she pulled into the Chevron, and got out of her vehicle, and walked around her car.
Tiffany stated [VICTIM #1] pulled in behind her, and she advised [VICTIM #1] that she had hit her, and Tiffany stated [VICTIM #1] stated “No you hit me”. Tiffany stated she then left the scene because she “had to get to work”. I advised Tiffany that she could not just leave the scene of an accident. Tiffany also advised me she did not give [VICTIM #1] any of her information before she left the scene.
At this time, I placed my handcuffs on Tiffanys wrists to the front of her due to her not being able to place her hands behind her back. I checked for proper fit, and double locked the cuffs. I searched Tiffany incident to arrest for any weapons or contraband. I placed Tiffany in the backseat of my patrol vehicle with the safety belt placed around her.
I transported Tiffany to the Spalding County Jail where she was turned over to jail staff. My patrol vehicle was checked after Tiffany was in it.
I also attempted to get video footage from the Chevron but the employee was unable to provide it to me at this time.
I issued Tiffany a citation for leaving the scene of an accident with damage (CIT# E26597).
