On 12/15/2025, myself along with multiple other officers responded to the area of [600 BLOCK] Haskell Ward Dr in reference to a reported aggravated assault.
Upon arrival in the area I was flagged down by a black sedan and advised the victim; identified as [VICTIM #1], was inside. I requested the vehicle pull into a nearby parking lot and confirmed no injuries. I then asked [VICTIM #1] what had occurred. I was advised that he and his childs mother [REDACTED] had been in a verbal dispute after their shared child had fallen off a bed at the residence ([600 BLOCK] Haskell Ward Dr; Apt [REDACTED]). During the altercation, [REDACTED]’S father was called to the location and began an altercation with [VICTIM #1]. The father was identified as REEDER, TYREEK LAMAR. During the altercation TYREEK chased [VICTIM #1] from the residence and fired 1 round with a gun at [VICTIM #1] according to [VICTIM #1].
After [VICTIM #1] advised me on the incident, I was advised that TYREEK fled the scene in a red sedan and was believed to have returned to his residence at [100 BLOCK] W LEXINGTON AVE. I advised incoming officers; of whom, then made contact with TYREEK at the aforementioned residence and detained him. Both [VICTIM #1] and TYREEK were transported to Griffin PD headquarters in order to be interviewed by CID Investigators. The scene was then turned over to CID Investigator J Berry.
