On July 6th, 2025, I, Deputy Cameron Locke, along with my FTO, Sgt. B. Head, was dispatched to [2100 BLOCK] North Expressway Apt. [REDACTED] in non-emergency mode in reference to a domestic already occurred.
Upon arrival I made contact with [VICTIM #1] (B/F DOB: /1994). She immediately started explaining what happened. She stated that she was choked and showed me visible marks and bruising around her neck. I took photos of these injuries. EMS arrived on the scene and cleared [VICTIM #1]. I asked [VICTIM #1] if we could talk in her bedroom away from the front door. I asked [VICTIM #1] the name of the subject that choked her. She advised me it was her boyfriend, Das, Viyadh (B/M DOB: /1993). I asked her how the incident started. She explained to me that she was going into the kitchen to look for food when she noticed they only had 5 slices of bread left. She told Viyadh that they needed more bread. This is when Viyadh started yelling and screaming at [VICTIM #1].
[VICTIM #1] stated that she walked into the bedroom with Viyadh following her, continuing to yell. She stated that her two children, (B/M DOB: ), and (B/M DOB: ), were in the bedroom also. The two children got up and went to the next room over. This is when Viyadh slapped [VICTIM #1]’s phone out of her hand and started choking her from the front. She then stated Viyadh started walking out to the kitchen, and she flipped him off. Viyadh came back into the bedroom and started chasing her around the bed. Viyadh then got on top of [VICTIM #1] and started choking her again. She stated after he got up from the bed, he continued to yell for approximately 10 minutes, followed by him leaving.
As I was asking [VICTIM #1] questions on the incident, Viyadh came back to the scene. I went over to get Viyadh’s side of the story when he told me that he did, in fact, put his hands on [VICTIM #1] and choke her. I instructed Viyadh to turn around and put his hands behind his back and placed him in custody. I then read Viyadh his Miranda rights.
I ensured the cuffs had proper fitment and were double-locked. Sgt. Head and I walked Viyadh to the patrol car and made sure he was secured by a seatbelt. Viyadh was trasported to Spalding County Jail
