On 11/17/2024 at approximately 1428 hrs, I responded in a emergency mode to the intersection of 3rd St and E Chappel, which is located within the City of Griffin Spalding County Georgia, to a report of accident with injuries per case #24-007618

I arrived on scene and made contact with the first responding officer, Ofc Andrade #4030, who had gathered all the infomation from both drivers. The subject at fault was identified as Ogletree, Zanyla. Ofc Andrade advised she was headed south bound on 3rd St. Ogletree ran the stop sign and collided with another vehicle. Ogletree was driving her white in color Honda Pilot tag# [REDACTED] with her boyfriend who was identified as [VICTIM #1] and her 4 kids.

Ogletree advised that she got into an argument with [VICTIM #1] and they left fairmount park angry. Ogletree stated she hit a tree leaving fairmount park. Ogletree was given citations for reckless driving, failure to stop at a stop sign, child not in a restraint, and striking a fixed object.

Ogletree was searched, placed in handcuffs behind their back, which were checked for proper fit, and double locked. Ogletree was then placed in the rear of unit 246 and the backseat was checked before and after transport. Ogletree was then transported to Spalding County Jail for processing on the citations.

Once Ogletree was handed over to the jail I was informed by 2 other officers, Ofc. J. Berry #3962 and Ofc. L. Warfield #3895, that Ogletree was involved in more than just an argument at fairmount park. The other officers arrived at fairmount in reference to a witness calling 911 about a domestic and a hit and run which led to the accident with injuries. Ofc. Berry advised that from a witness who was identified as [WITNESS #1] that Ogletree was in a fight with [VICTIM #1] and was physically assaulting him with closed fists and trying to cut him with a knife. Ofc. Berry advised that he got a witness statement form which will be placed into evidence. Ofc. Berry advised that Ogletree did all of this in front of her kids at fairmount park. [WITNESS #1] claimed that when Ogletree was leaving in her vehicle she almost hit one of her kids.

Ofc. Warfield advised that she took pictures of where Ogletree crashed into a tree and left the scene of the accident leaving the vehicle bumper and other parts scattered off the road. Ofc. Warfield advised that there are cameras at Fairmount Park to which I will be submitting a video request form.

Ofc. Andrade arrived out at fairmount park and found the knife used in this incident. The knife was taken back to the Griffin Police Department where photos were taken and it was placed into evidence under tag #52887

I will be taking warrants on Ogletree for Agg. Assault, 4 counts of Cruelty to children, Reckless driving, failure to stop at stop sign, hit and run, and striking a fixed object.
