On 05/24/2025 at 2137 hours, I Ofc. Hernanez was dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in regards to a domestic involving a knife.

Upon arrival I made contact with offender (Rico Neloms) and he stated that him and [REDACTED BY AGENCY]/ complaint [REDACTED BY AGENCY] got into a verbal argument about Neloms staying at this address. Neloms stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was upset because Neloms stays at this residence. Neloms stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] does not live at this address and every time [REDACTED BY AGENCY] comes around he always starts an argument.

I Ofc. Hernandez asked Neloms if there was a knife involved and he said there was not and he advised me that I could check him.

I Ofc. Hernandez then spoke with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and he stated that he arrived to this address in regards to him dropping off a new chain for [REDACTED BY AGENCY] dog. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then stated that he asked Neloms that was standing outside why was he there. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that Neloms then got mad and pulled a big knife out of his pocket and began to swing it several times towards him. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he then ran to his vehicle and called 911.

I Ofc. Hernandez then spoke with witness [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and he stated that him, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], and Nelmos were standing outside messing with the dog chain and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Nelmos began to argue back and forth. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that things never got physical and also that no knife was ever involved.

I Ofc. Hernandez advised [REDACTED BY AGENCY] that a police report would be made regarding this incident and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then advised me that he possibly has vehicle dash cam that caught some of the incident just not the part where Nelmos was swinging the knife. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he had to go home to try to download the footage but could not provide it at this time.
