On July 30, 2026, I was contacted by Lt. Newsome and instructed to respond to [REDACTED] in reference to an agency assist.

Upon my arrival, , I made contact with Lt. Newsome, who advised that Said Juvenile, child to Barbara Jean Deen and Tony Farrow were involved in an incident that occurred in Toombs County and that Montgomery County Sheriff assisted. Those who assisted were Chief Deputy Ron Bivins, Deputy Marty Cravin and Deputy Donny Williamson I was advised that Barbara Jean Deen is an officer for a different county. I was also advised that Mrs. Deen allegedly placed her hands on her daughter during a physical altercation, leaving visible marks on her daughter .

I made contact with said Juvenile, who agreed to speak with me regarding the incident. Juvenile stated that she had been cleaning her room when her mom, Mrs. Deen entered the room and accused her of taking her makeup. Said Juvenile stated that her mother became angry demanding Said Juvenile to give her her makeup however Said Juvenile stated she told her mom that she did not have it. Said Juvenile stated that her mother became more upset and seen her mother grab her police duty belt and began striking Said Juvenile with it.

Said Juvenile continued to advise that Mrs. Deen grabbed Said Juvenile by her throat while Mrs. Deen struck her repeatedly with her duty belt in anger. Said Juvenile also advised that when her mother stopped hitting her, Mrs. Deen walked to her bag, look inside her makeup bag and found what she was accusing Said Juvenile for taking it. Said Juvenile stated she never touched it. Said Juvenile stated that Mrs. Deen then made crude comments to Said Juvenile in reference to Mrs. Deen not caring if anything would happen to Said Juvenile. According to Said Juvenile, her mom went to work after the incident.

Said Juvenile mentioned that Mr. Farrow recorded the argument but only recorded Mrs. Deen yelling at Said Juvenile. She said Mr. Farrow witnessed it but did nothing to stop it. I asked Said Juvenile where this took place, she stated it occurred at her moms home. I asked Said Juvenile why her dad was there, she said that he spent the night and after the assault, Mr. Farrow took the children to his camper and went to work. Said Juvenile reiterated that she was afraid for her and her siblings to stay with her father, so she took the four-wheeler to her friends house and told her mother, Mrs. [REDACTED] of the incident who then in turn notified authorities.

I questioned why she was afraid of her father, she stated that she and her siblings were sleeping together in their dads bed because they had been left home alone and were frightened. According to Said Juvenile, Mr. Farrow returned home intoxicated, approached the bed, and inappropriately touched her 12 year old sister. [REDACTED] stated she witnessed the incident but was unable to stop her father and that both girls were too afraid to tell anyone. She stated the incident occurred one time in her presence.

While speaking with Said Juvenile, I observed that she appeared visibly frightened. Her demeanor was fearful throughout the interview, and at various times I observed her body shaking while she recounted the events. Said Juvenile expressed fear of both her mother and father and voiced concern for the safety and well-being of her younger siblings.

Said Juvenile also disclosed that she had previously become overwhelmed due to bullying at school and ongoing issues involving her parents, to the point that she had experienced thoughts of ending her life. During my interaction with Said Juvenile, she appeared genuinely fearful, including when she and siblings were later released into their father’s custody.

Said Juvenile further stated that she has frequently been responsible for caring for her younger siblings, as well as another child who is not biologically related to her family. She reported that her mother has custody of this child because the child’s biological mother allegedly lost custody. Said Juvenile stated that, according to her knowledge, her mother only keeps the child at the residence when representatives from the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) conduct welfare checks and is sent back with her biological mother.

Because of the nature of this incident, I visually saw the marks, redness from the strikes, bruises and welts on Said Juvenile, that located in the areas that Said Juvenile stated she was struck by her mother Barbara Jean. The marks were located on both of Said Juvenile’s legs. They were visually on the right back upper outer thigh and her left upper outer thigh. She also had visible red marks on her both her left and right side of her throat indicating as she stated of her mother grabbing her throat while striking her with a hard object. Her right wrist had some redness to it indicating where she said her mother grabbed her right wrist violently.

Due to the nature of the allegations, including reported physical abuse, possible child molestation, child neglect, and concerns for the welfare of multiple juveniles, this investigation was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) for further investigation.
