On 09-21-2026 at 1728 pm, I responded to the listed incident location in reference to a physical domestic.
I located and spoke to both male and female victim/suspects. It was determined that they both had violated the family violence law by taking unnecessary offense actions towards each other during a brief struggle over a iPad. Both subjects had marks on their person that indicated their incident went beyond a simple struggle. Both were offered EMS and refused.
At this time both victim/suspects were placed under arrest for Battery FVA along with Cruelty to Children due to the listed juveniles being present for the altercation. Deputy Taylor transported the male to the Walker County Jail while I waited for a family member to pick up the juveniles. Once done, the female was handcuffed from the front, checked for fit, and double locked due to a previous foot injury and being a fall risk. I then transported her to the Walker County Jail where she was turned over to detention staff without incident.
The DFACS case worker was emailed to advise her of the current arrest for family violence in the presence of the juveniles.
