On the listed date, I was dispatched to the scene location in reference to a domestic disturbance. While en route, I was advised that the suspect had left the scene in a vehicle and was possibly under the influence of alcohol. I located the suspect and conducted a traffic stop at the scene location. During the investigation, the suspect stated that he and the victim had been involved in a verbal argument and that he pushed the victim. The suspect was subsequently placed into custody following the traffic stop.
I then responded to the original scene location and spoke with the victim and a witness. The victim stated that the argument became physical and that the suspect grabbed him, put him on the floor, and struck him in the head with his knee. I observed an apparent injury to the victim’s forehead, which was photographed for evidence. The witness confirmed that an argument had occurred but stated that she did not witness the physical altercation.
Based on the evidence provided, the suspect will subsequently be charged with the listed charges.
