[NARRATIVE #1 on August 07, 2026]

On 08/07/2026 at 0940 hours I, Cpl. Phillips was dispatched to 2452 North Hwy 27 (Circle K) in LaFayette in reference to an Intoxicated Subject.

Upon arriving I met with listed Offender (Joseph Lee) who was sitting on the sidewalk behind his vehicle listed (2025 Harley Davidson silver in color) with an open alcoholic beverage. Joseph stated that he had just got off work at Roper and that he worked 3rd shift. Joseph stated that he left work and went home at 0600 on this day. Joseph was then asked why he had an alcoholic beverage in public, and he stated that he was waiting on the Title Pawn to open so he could receive a loan for a vehicle. I then asked Joseph if he purchased the alcohol in the convenience store and he stated the one that he was drinking he had purchased in the store.

While speaking with Joseph I observed a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his person and observed that his motor skills were slow and speech was slurred. I requested to know how many alcoholic beverages were consumed and Joseph replied several. I then asked Joseph how many would be several and he stated 4 total including the one he was consuming. Joseph was then detained with my handcuffs and was checked for contraband or weapons, and none were found. I then requested Sgt. Simpson to my location in reference to speaking with the listed Complainant [WITNESS #1], the store clerk.

[WITNESS #1] stated that Joseph had come into the store and bought a hotdog and a 24 oz Modelo (alcoholic beverage). [WITNESS #1] stated Joseph then came in again about an hour later and bought the same items. [WITNESS #1] stated that one of her cashiers advised her of the same items purchased. [WITNESS #1] stated that her and her cashier then went to see what Joseph was doing and observed Joseph sitting on the sidewalk beside the air compressor and drinking the alcoholic beverage he had purchased inside the store. [WITNESS #1] stated that Joseph was riding a motorcycle listed property. [WITNESS #1] stated she then contacted 911 and advised them of the situation that was occurring.

I then placed Joseph in custody for Disorderly Conduct. Joseph was searched incident to arrest for weapons or contraband and none were found. Joseph was then placed in the rear of my patrol vehicle to be transported to the Walker County Jail. Next list Tow Bros wrecker service was dispatched in reference to Joseph’s motorcycle on the lot of Circle K. Sgt. Simpson was stayed behind with the motorcycle until Tow Bros could take possession of the vehicle.

I then transported Joseph to the jail and during transport Joseph informed me that his life was ruined and that he was going to commit suicide once released. I then informed the jail of my arrival time and to have a green suit ready (suicide suit) ready in reference to Joseph’s allegations. Once at the jail Joseph was then turned over to the detention personnel. While at the jail the jail paperwork was completed and signed copies were provided to the detention personnel.

Joseph was also issued one citation for his charge of Disorderly Conduct citation #124003272.

[NARRATIVE #2 on August 07, 2026]

On 08-07-26 I, Sergeant Hunt completed a cash bond with [REDACTED] for Disorderly Conduct charge on Joseph Lee. [REDACTED] provided his information and paid the $190.00 dollars. Joseph was advised of his court date September 21, 2026 and released. The money was collected and secured in the safe at LaFayette Police Department.
