[NARRATIVE #1 on April 14, 2026]
On this date Tuesday 04/14/2026 around 1400 hours, I was dispatched to the listed location in reference to an assault report. Prior to my arrival I was advised by dispatch the caller/ victim was in shower when suspect entered the bathroom door by beating the door open with a hammer. I was also advised the victim was hiding form the suspect outside.
GSP unit Walthour #953 arrived on scene prior to my arrival as well as several other deputies. GSP Walthour #953 advised the female was secure in his vehicle and the male had been detained. Common Spirit Memorial supervisor Lt. J Cruise was also on scene an treated the injuries to the suspect which were superficial scratches to his skin due to his age. The victim was looked at but declined treatment. I observed several scratches on the suspect and a little blood on both arms. I observed the left arm of the victim had a little blood on it as well.
She advised the suspect beat the door in with a hammer and pulled the shower curtain back and grabbed her by the throat and advised he was going to kill her. I did observe red marks on her neck / throat area which I took pictures of the injuries I observed. I then asked her to show me the bathroom where she advised she was. I observed the door had been beat in and the door knob had been knocked off consistent to what the victim advised. I took pictures of the damage.
I asked where the hammer was or what it looked like. She advised she did not know where it was but it was red / black. I located a hammer in the kitchen matching the description she provided. I took pictures of it to to be placed into evidence. I also observed what appeared to be blood on the claw portion of the hammer. I then put it in a brown paper bag and sealed it with bio tape if it was blood. I also filled out a property evidence sheet and provided the suspect the pink copy.
Deputy Miller #31 transported the subject to the jail for me and all units returned to service. I went to the jail / evidence room and turned the hammer over to evidence custodian.
