On Thursday 06/04/2026 at 2117 hours I was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a welfare check.
Georgia stated patrol was on scene with the listed victim when I arrived. The by standard that had stopped with the victim said that they thought that the listed parent of the victim worked at a store up the road. I took a photograph of the victim and went to the second address to locate the listed parent. At the second location I made contact with the listed parent who verified the that the photograph.
The listed parent stated that the listed suspect was taking care of the victim while the listed parent was at work. The listed parent provided the name and date of birth of the victim and the home address. I returned to the scene and spoke with Cpl Simpson who advised me to go to the address provided by the listed parent.
I arrived at the address of the victim and made contact with the listed parent who stated that the listed suspect was inside the residence. I asked the suspect to come outside on to the porch and speak with me. I asked the suspect for his drivers license the suspect was to intoxicated to provided it. The listed parent was able to provided the suspect drivers license.
I notified the suspect that he was under arrest for cruelty to children. The suspect was hand cuffed behind the back with two pairs of hand cuffs because of his size. The cuffs were checked for fit and double locked. I walked the suspect to the back of my patrol vehicle where I searched the suspect for weapons and contraband with none found. I then searched the back of my patrol vehicle for weapons and contraband with none found. I placed the suspect in the back seat and seat belted the suspect.
I notified dispatch that I was transporting the suspect to the jail. I arrived at the jail and turned the suspect over to jail staff. I searched the back of my patrol vehicle again for weapons and contraband with none found. I notified dispatch I was back in service.
