On 9/27/2026 at 10:22pm, I, Detective Ashmore responded to [REDACTED] in reference to a domestic dispute. Before my arrival dispatch informed me that the complainant stated that her father was beating her mother and that both the father and mother were intoxicated.

Upon my arrival the mother, Ms. [VICTIM #1] along with the complainant, [VICTIM #2] (14) were standing outside of the residence. They were also standing outside with [WITNESS #1] (12), [WITNESS #2] (10) and [WITNESS #3] (15). Upon meeting [VICTIM #1] I could see that she was visibly upset. I asked [VICTIM #1] where the male (identified as Mr. Christopher Jackson) was, to which she told me he was inside the residence.

I made entry into the residence while the other officers on scene spoke to the group outside. Upon making entry I located Christopher laying in his bed watching TV. He asked me if I was there to take him to jail to which I told him no. I told him that I needed to talk to him to understand what happened. I had Christopher exit the room and talk to me in the living room.

Upon asking him what led to the altercation he stated that it was complicated. He also told me to just take him to jail. I tried to get him to explain his side of the story to which he continued to not tell me anything by stating that it was complicated. After I and Lt. Studdard both tried to get Christopher to go into detail he continued to not explain anything of what occurred. It was at this point that I detained Christopher in handcuffs. The cuffs were checked for fit and double locked behind his back. Once he was placed in handcuffs he spontaneously uttered that all he knew was everyone was pushing on him. I then walked him to my vehicle outside, searched him and placed him in the backseat (backseat camera rolling).

After Christopher was placed in the vehicle I met with [VICTIM #1] and asked to speak with her inside of the living room. As I began speaking with her she was holding back tears. I asked her what started the argument to which she said she was unsure. She told me that both her and Christopher had been drinking and that she couldn’t remember what exactly was said that led up to the physical altercation. [VICTIM #1] told me that she remembered the two of them yelling and that Christopher put his hand in her face and pushed her head backwards. Christopher then grabbed her by the arms and was yelling at her.

While this was occurring [VICTIM #2] went to intervene which is when he grabbed [VICTIM #2] by the arms and pushed her into a wall. It was at this point that all of the children were witness to the incident. [VICTIM #1] then showed me her arms where she had multiple large bruises on the insides of both biceps and bruises on both triceps. Note: that when speaking to Christopher I did not see any fresh marks on his person. I took photos of [VICTIM #1]’s arms. [VICTIM #1]’s relationship with Christopher is that they live together and have children together (Family Violence Factors).

I then spoke with [VICTIM #2] about what happened. The following is what she told me. Her parents were arguing in their bedroom. She came in and saw Christopher put his hand on [VICTIM #1]’s face and then grab her by the arms. She tried to break it up along with [WITNESS #3]. The struggle ensued into the living room which is where Christopher grabbed [VICTIM #2] by the arms and pushed her into a hamster cage placed against the far wall of the living room [VICTIM #2] also sustained marks on her right arm and left elbow (photos attached). She had a fresh scratch on her right arm and left elbow (likely from the hamster cage).

I then went and spoke with the other three children, [WITNESS #1], [WITNESS #2] and [WITNESS #3]. All three of them told me that they witnessed the fight as well. It should be noted that [WITNESS #3] is the 15 year old brother of Christopher who does not live at the residence. [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] are his sons. At this point due to the physical evidence and testimonial evidence gathered I had probable cause to believe that Christopher Jackson was the predominate aggressor. Christopher was placed under arrest and charged with two counts of Battery (FV) and four counts of Cruelty to Children in the third degree.

Before leaving the residence I provided [VICTIM #1] with a case card and informed her that I would be completing a project renewal notification. I then transported Christopher to the WCSO and handed him over to the jail staff without incident. Victim notification forms were completed at the jail. After leaving the jail I checked my backseat for any loose items or contraband, none of which was found. I have since attached a copy of the project renewal notification to this report along with placing a hard copy in the paper bin. I have also attached all relevant photos to this report. Warrants to be taken.
