On 03/11/2025 at 1148 hours Deputy Ryals, CPL Govignon and I were sent to [90 BLOCK] River Ridge Cir for a possible fight.
Upon arrival Deputy Ryals detained Christopher Strickland in the backseat of his patrol vehicle. Dallas Strickland was in his girlfriends vehicle at the time of my arrival. I spoke with Mr. Dallas to get his side of his story. Mr. Dallas stated that he and Mr. Christopher had been fighting in the yard over Mr. Dallas going through Mr. Christopher’s possessions. Mr. Dallas stated he attempted to get away from Mr. Christopher until he pulled a gun on him. Mr. Dallas alleged he reengaged in the fight because of self defense. Mr. Christopher allegedly pointed the gun in the general direction of Mr. Dallas and fire one single round. Mr. Dallas stated it was fired in his direction while Mr. Christopher stated the round was fired into the dirt. Deputy Ryals and I could not locate the shell that was ejected nor the hole where the round impacted. Mr. Dallas gave us verbal permission, which was captured on multiple body cameras, to retrieve the firearm that was used from under the mattress inside the residence. The firearm, a Rock Island Armory 1911, was placed into evidence.
Both Mr. Dallas and Mr. Christopher were both placed under arrest pending warrants for Affray.
Mr. Christopher was placed under arrest pending warrants.
