[NARRATIVE #1 on October 07, 2022]

On October 7th 2022 Cpl. Simmons and I responded to [10700 BLOCK] US highway 301 South in reference to a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival I made contact with [VICTIM #1] who stated that Robert Powell had stayed the night but slept in the living room. Mr. Powell and Mrs. [VICTIM #1] had a conversation the night prior about somethings that she had heard about Mr. Powell. Mr. Powell was still mad from that conversation when he woke up this morning. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated that she had thought Mr. Powell had left.

When Ms. [VICTIM #1] got up and went to open her bedroom door, Mr. Powell was standing at her door and walked into her room. Mr. Powell started making statements about her screwing someone else and Mr. Powell then pushed Ms. [VICTIM #1] down onto the bed. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she then rolled off the bed and she stood back up Mr. Powell grabbed ahold of her shirt in a attempt to rip it.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she picked her phone up and told Mr. Powell that she was calling the police, Mr. Powell took her phone and threw it. Ms. [VICTIM #1] told Mr. Powell that she had another phone she could call 911 on for free. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that when she told him that, he left the residence and took off towards the highway and got into a blue car headed towards Brantley county. Cpl. Simmons arrived on scene and I updated him on the situation, Mr. Powell was not on scene at the time of my arrival.

[NARRATIVE #2 on October 16, 2022]

On 10/16/2022 at 6:22pm, deputies were dispatched to [10700 BLOCK] US Highway 301 South in reference to a 911 call where screaming was heard in the back ground.

Upon arrival I spoke with [VICTIM #1], she advised that Robert Powell was at the residence and when she told him to get his stuff and leave they got into an arguement. Ms. [VICTIM #1] then stated that Mr. Powell struck her in the head with a guitar and also stuck her in the head with a guitar amplifier.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that after stuck with the 2 objects Mr. Powell then grabbed her by the hair and proceeded to hit her head on the floor multiple times. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that while on the ground Mr. Powell stuck her in the chest with his fist and stomped on her left thigh.

While Ms. [VICTIM #1] was explaining everything that happened I did observe a golf ball size knot above her right eye brow that did have a small lacerations causing it to bleed, a small knot above her left eyebrow, and scratch marks on the left side of her neck.

Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s juvenile son ([VICTIM #2]) stated that he tried to get Mr. Powell off of his mother and while trying to do so Mr. Powell struck him in the right side just under his arm pit. EMS arrived on scene to check Ms. [VICTIM #1] and her son out.

While they were checking all of the wounds one of the paramedics advised me that she also has a large knot on the back of her head. All of the events that took place were in the presence of 2 juveniles ([VICTIM #2]) and ([REDACTED]), however only [VICTIM #2] got injured while trying to separated his mother and Mr. Powell.

Mr. Powell left the residence prior to units getting on scene. Warrants have been submitted and signed for Robert Powell. -Aggravated Assault, Cruelty to children in the 1st degree, and Cruelty to children in the 3rd degree
