On April 18, 2026 I was dispatched along with Ofc K Briner to the area of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] for a disturbance involving Ernest Acree.

While in route to [REDACTED BY AGENCY], Ofc Briner was able to locate Acree’s vehicle and make a traffic stop on the vehicle the intersection of Greenwood Place and Walnut Ave. I arrived within 30 seconds along with Ofc T Miller who was nearby.

Acree had been involved in a disturbance earlier in the shift for handing out flyers from the Dunwoody Police Dept on Valley Dr. Myself and the same officers had spoken with him during this event as well. Acree had very exagerated movements and loud speech but was otherwise cooperative. The caller of the orignal call stated that he was in the street on Valley Dr and yelling at people. Acree stated that he yelled at a dog owner that had let their dog out on their lawn on valley while he was hand delivering flyers. No charges came from this incident.

The caller from [REDACTED BY AGENCY], [VICTIM #1] stated that he was at his law office and Mr Acree had arrived shortly before the call time and began yelling at him about supposed people living on the property/trespassing. [VICTIM #1] stated that Acree then became confrontational and began demanding that he pay the rent that was due to him. Acree was claiming ownership of the property at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to this claim, [VICTIM #1] stated that he paid his rent as he always has to the property management company, Acree properties.

Acree became even more confrontational and began yelling loudly, to the effect that an employee at the law office, [WITNESS #1], was able to hear the argument from the inside offices. Acree then exited his vehicle and took a bladed fighting stance and advanced towards [VICTIM #1], with fists at the ready. [VICTIM #1], fearing that he would have been physically harmed, retreated into the interior of the building and called the police.

Acree stated to me, Briner and Miller that he owns that property and that he was there to collect rent because he was not receiving his money. When asked for any proof of ownership he could not provide me with any. When asked about yelling at Mr [VICTIM #1] and acting in a threatening manner, he denied doing so.

I then spoke with [WITNESS #2], the brother of Ernest Acree via the phone through 911 dispatch. [WITNESS #2] stated that similar incidents have occurred recently with his brother. One specific incident was in the city of Dunwoody, Ga. [WITNESS #2] did confirm that his brother was a shareholder in the company which owns the property, but has been acting very erratic lately, since the passing of family members.

I then contacted [VICTIM #1] again and he stated that he did wish to press charges against Mr Ernest Acree stating that he can’t have someone coming to the property and acting in such a manner due to the fact that he runs a law firm. I then asked Acree to step from his vehicle and placed him under arrest for diorderly conduct and simple assault. I checked the handcuffs for fit and double locked them. I then searched him incident to arrest in front of my patrol car #38. I found no contraband or weapons.

I then secured him in the back seat of the patrol car with the seatbelt. He had no medical conditions to inform the jail of and he did confirm that he is a us citizen. I then spoke to Acree’s father at Ernest’s request to ask him to take possession of his vehicle since he only lived a short distance away. His father agreed.

I then transported Acree to the WCSO jail. I secured my weapon in the patrol car lock box and delivered Acree to the jail staff. I obtained arrest warrant 2026-414wa for the charges of 16-5-20 simple assault and 16-11-39 disorderly conduct. I collected a criminal history from central records on Mr Acree and then served the warrant to him in the cell where he was being held.

I read to him the bond conditions that were attatched to the warrant, stating that he was to have no contact with the victim, Mr [VICTIM #1] what so ever. He stated that he understood. I then stamped and signed the warrant and delivered it to the booking staff.
