On August 22, 2026, Deputy Cline was dispatched to [4700 BLOCK] Tree Top Lane regarding a domestic incident.

Deputy Cline made contact with Samantha Daniel, who stated that [VICTIM #1] came to her residence. Daniel advised that [VICTIM #1] had cleaned her residence the previous day. Daniel stated that she asked [VICTIM #1] about the location of her keys. [VICTIM #1] denied having the keys and stated that she should not be called a thief.

Daniel stated that [VICTIM #1] left the residence and said she was leaving. Daniel told [VICTIM #1] to leave the driveway. Daniel advised that [VICTIM #1] then returned up the steps toward the residence. At that time, Daniel struck [VICTIM #1] on the side of the head with a baseball bat.

Deputy Cline reviewed Ring camera footage of the incident, which documented the altercation

Deputy Sharp later made contact with [VICTIM #1] at the emergency room and observed a visible mark on [VICTIM #1]’s ear. Deputy Sharp will complete a supplemental report documenting [VICTIM #1]’s statement and his observations.

Deputy Cline placed Daniel in handcuffs and charged her with aggravated assault, OCGA 16-5-21 WT#W26-1449. Deputy Cline transported Daniel to the Whitfield County Jail. Daniel was turned over to the jail staff. The video was sent at the community’s request.

Deputy Cline reviewed the Ring camera footage and observed [VICTIM #1] walk up the steps toward the residence. Deputy Cline observed Daniel strike [VICTIM #1] on the side of the head with a baseball bat. Deputy Cline did not observe any aggressive actions by [VICTIM #1] as she approached the residence.
