On November 19, 2024 Deputy Kadinger and Deputy Sharp were dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Pioneer Dr in reference to a check welfare. As Deputy Kadinger approached the residence he observed [VICTIM #1] crouched behind a vehicle. Upon seeing Deputy Kadinger’s patrol vehicle [VICTIM #1] ran toward him frantically.

[VICTIM #1] stated that she was having a bad night and stated that her boyfriend, William Mills, had been drinking since 17:00 p.m. on November 19, 2024. [VICTIM #1] stated that William became irate with her and started shoving her. [VICTIM #1] stated that William continued pushing her. [VICTIM #1] advised she positioned herself behind a couch trying to put something in between herself and William to stop him from hurting her. [VICTIM #1] stated that William then began to push the couch against her pinning her against the wall with the couch. [VICTIM #1] stated that William told her that he was going to kill her. [VICTIM #1] stated that Juvenile 1 and Juvenile 2 were also in the room and were yelling at William to stop attacking [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] advised that William continuously told her that he was going to kill her and that their children would be better off without them. Fearing for her life [VICTIM #1], got away from William and ran outside where she called 911. [VICTIM #1] noted that William did own an AK style rifle that was still located inside the residence. [VICTIM #1] stated that the last time she saw William he was upstairs while the two Juveniles were downstairs. Due to Williams level of intoxication [VICTIM #1] was afraid for Juvenile 1 and Juvenile 2’s safety.

Deputy Kadinger and Deputy Sharp then approached the residence and attempted to make contact with William but, William never answered Deputies requests. Deputy Sharp then stated that he heard what sounded to be a child yelling “Daddy” and a pounding noise as if someone was hitting a wall inside the residence. Deputy Kadinger contacted Lt. O’Mahony and Sgt. Spence to advise the situation and his concerns for the safety of the children located inside the residence. Sgt. Spence advised that he would be en-route to the residence. Upon Sgt. Spence’s arrival his self and Deputy Sharp went back to the residence while Deputy Kadinger covered their approach from behind Deputy Sharp’s patrol vehicle located in front of the house. Sgt. Spence again tried to make contact with William but, still had no reply from William. Sgt. Spence and Deputy Sharp maneuvered around the residence knocking on doors and windows trying to make contact with William.

Sgt. Spence and Deputy Sharp then went to the back of the residence and observed the two juveniles through a window. Sgt Spence and Deputy Sharp then went to the back door of the residence where Juvenile 1 opened the door. Sgt. Spence and Deputy Sharp then picked up the Juveniles and extracted them down the road where [VICTIM #1] took custody of the two Juveniles.

Due to Deputies not knowing where William’s location was inside the household and William had access to a firearm, Sgt. Spence felt that it would be an unnecessary risk to go back into the residence to locate William and that it would be better to try again at a later date now that William was isolated in the house.

Deputy Kadinger will attempt to obtain a warrant to be taken out on William for the following charges; one count of (O.C.G.A. 16-5-21) Aggravated Assault, Family Violence, (O.C.G.A. 16-11-37) Terroristic Threats and Acts, and two counts of (O.C.G.A. 16-5-70(D)(2)) Cruelty to Children in the third degree.

[VICTIM #1] and the two Juveniles were picked up by [VICTIM #1]’s grandmother and were transported to her residence at [200 BLOCK] Owens Gin Way. Deputy Kadinger advised [VICTIM #1] that he will set up an extra patrol for that address due to William knowing where she would be.
